16/11/2023 13:50 | Good day disc0 "Noted that US retail sales fell but not as much as forecast" ==================== Bad news is good news. Thanks for the Speedy link. It begs the question are AHT looking at something similar. | ![]() bracke

15/11/2023 18:46 | Good evening Mr bNoted that US retail sales fell but not as much as forecast......which seemed to dampen somewhat the UK market later today. | ![]() disc0dave46

15/11/2023 17:17 | Good day disc0 Mr Powell has 'set his cap' at achieving 2% inflation. If things get 'sticky' I suppose he could use the fallback position of 'in the medium term' The danger is that if he takes his foot off the brake inflation will become demand led. | ![]() bracke
15/11/2023 15:51 | Good day Mr bOnwards to 5468 it is then! :)"I presume we will see no more disparaging posts from disc0 about Mr Powell given the superb result he has achieved."IMVHO inflation was supply driven not demand driven so would fall off naturally anyway...as has happened to the primary drivers which were energy and food. Yes central bankers have marginally impacted the pace of decline but have IMO gone to far too fast and once their actions truly bite into world economies they will be back pedalling quicker than Lance Armstrong did from the tour medical centre!. | ![]() disc0dave46
15/11/2023 15:19 | The share price has well and truly broken up out of the range AND through the secondary trend line AND through the primary trend line AND through the SMA200 and is attempting to break above 5300. All is sweetness and light among the AHT fraternity. What next? A break and hold above the 61.8% FIB at 5334 would set the scene for a gap fill at 5468. What about the downside? There doesn't appear to be any other than a Black or Grey Swan. A fall back below the 50% FIB at 5190 would be disappointing. I presume we will see no more disparaging posts from disc0 about Mr Powell given the superb result he has achieved. AHT DAILY | ![]() bracke

15/11/2023 11:49 | No real surprise that UK inflation is now 4.6% given that the high Oct 2022 number has dropped out.Wonder when Mr Bailey will start cutting?....May, June 2024?.....probably just follow his pal JP, it's easier!. | ![]() disc0dave46

08/11/2023 16:04 | Good afternoon Mr b"You are being unfair. We all know that the BOE is totally independent when it sets the rate. "Lol, yep just like the government doesn't have any influence whatsoever on who is appointed as governor of the BoE!. | ![]() disc0dave46
08/11/2023 15:40 | "The clueless Mr b (obviously not you by the way) says he can’t really comment about Brexit per se…..and then goes on to comment about Brexit." ==================== Probably a 'Biden Moment'. He forgot he'd said he couldn't comment. "His chief economist said on Monday with reference to a potential cut in August next year “doesn’t seem totally unreasonable, at least to me”." ==================== He's not exactly taking any chances of being overly optimistic is he! "IMO Bailey is doing what his master, the chancellor of the exchequer, tells him, keep it negative until closer to the GE. The man’s clueless IMO." ==================== You are being unfair. We all know that the BOE is totally independent when it sets the rate. The rate cut just before the General Election will be based entirely on inflation data and purely coincidental. | ![]() bracke

08/11/2023 13:33 | Good day disc0 "Looks like Mr Market is waiting for some positive news from Mr Powell & Mr Bailey." ==================== The market may have to wait a while longer. £ dropping because the market thinks rates will come down soonish but Mr Bailey says no, inflation has yet to be brought to heel. Mr POWELL continues to be led by the data and inflation remains double the target. So the market must turn to the old winter standby...a Santa Rally. | ![]() bracke
08/11/2023 08:50 | Good morning Mr bLooks like Mr Market is waiting for some positive news from Mr Powell & Mr Bailey.Apologies - my previous posting Re CAGR by 2030 I mistook your £71 for £100, think I need to go to specsavers! lol. So the CAGR is only 6% not 12%. Out of interest, the share price CAGR for AHT over the last 5 years has been circa 24%, so your set in stone £71 could be a tad light!.Have a good day | ![]() disc0dave46

06/11/2023 13:31 | Good day disc0 Using highly sophisticated algorithms, secret data, runes and cat entrails 7100 appears to be a possibility in 2030. This is notwithstanding Mr Powell experiencing a rush of blood to the head and reducing the FED Rate to zero. | ![]() bracke |
