Sold half, but at least I got more than the 13 quid last time....the volume is a bit thin in spite of bracke's reminder about delays. Maybe I get lucky and get them back cheaper later on, or next week.

Now what. Hold above 1700 and then push for the summit on results day next Tuesday, or push for the summit now?

And Mr Trump didn't even announce the tax cuts. So more to come!

Remember volume can be delayed often until the end of day.

See rule 3030 - 3034

Jackpot?
Must admit I am getting a little nerves with such a large rise on small volume.
Thinking of taking some profit but will wait for the US open to see what happens.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Jackpot? Did someone mention Jackpot?

+33p, 1689p at present, and a couple of gaps filled if I'm not mistaken, (whether that is significant or not is the question?), not a bad start considering Trumps address last night... thin gruel some would say but the market seems to have its rose tinted glasses back on..

Like the "jackpots" at Las Vegas? In 50 equal annual instalments perhaps?

Thanks bracke.

I believe you can watch Trumps address live, but at around 12.30am our time, I don't think I'll bother :-)

The markets will make of it what they will, before trading commences .....

When El Presidente speaks anything can be said.....and often is.

ALL HAIL TRUMP!

That's a lot of volume for a small range. The doji candle illustrates honours even between buyers and sellers. It could go either way. Trump decides.

Another day of steady progress for AHT, up 7 to 1656, with a sizeable volume traded and only a week before Q3 update.

Dow looks nervous, let's hope Trumpton doesn't cause any upset tonight when he tells congress what he has in store.

Clearly an 'A' rated president, as he is telling everyone, anybody's guess what the 'A' stands for...

"Where does the endless rounds of placing finance come from?
Who makes the decision to keep putting more money in year after year and why?"
==================================================================================

Those are questions I have pondered. I can only assume that there is more to it than meets the eye.

Hi , good day Bracke,
No doubt they stay on the right side of the line, after all every audit report raises the question of viability of going concern and concludes that its fine. However these schemes they have are supposed to be investments - for whom?
Where does the endless rounds of placing finance come from?
Who makes the decision to keep putting more money in year after year and why?
It can't just be mug retail punters can it?

As for those that have money already invested or those perhaps connected to those who do , of course they are too far gone to accept any criticism of either their investment or the way they are run, they are in too deep. But that's not my target audience; it's really just in case there are any novice investors who could gain from learning more about there past record.

Good day fenners

The Clontarfians appear to keep just to the correct side of the line. I believe one of their companies does ok, the whiskey company but I think they keep that one to themselves.

Any investment (sic) in a Clontarf Company is best considered as a lottery ticket ie. very low probability of success.

No matter what facts and figures you put in front of some people they will reject them. They operate on blind faith.

All you have to do is read the capitulation from DB - neutral but increase stock price from £7 to £16 to know that they have not got a clue!

They get paid to write a report as to why it should be £7 - they should be made to write a report on what they got wrong and how the opposite of their assumptions justifies the move through £17.

Then I would put them in detention make them hand write 10,000 lines "I must not make up useless research"
tell them there's no bonus this year and in the end sack them for bringing the reputation of the bank into disrepute or something.

Good afternoon ian

Mr Trump's speech tomorrow night has considerable potential. Tax cuts, holiday for offshore cash repatriation and deregulation, Border Adjustment Tax (BAT) plus anything else he may care to 'throw in'.

ALL HAIL TRUMP!
