19/11/2014 16:48 | Close but not close enough. | bracke
19/11/2014 12:09 | Good day Disco Somewhat odd that the share price has dropped this week considering that the DOW and FTSE have both risen but I should not be surprised, it's not unusual for AHT to be 'different'. It appears there is some selling occuring, just a question of how much more. I was not expecting the gap to 1020 to be filled just yet but further selling plus a bad day on the DOW may drop the share price low enough. | bracke
19/11/2014 09:06 | ........it did!.Morning bracke, going for your 1020 gap today?.GLDD | discodave4
18/11/2014 14:21 | SP testing 1050. Will it, wont it? | bracke
18/11/2014 11:53 | Odd. All on my watch list are green today except AHT which is red? | bracke
17/11/2014 18:47 | Another test of the 'Gravestone' but no coconut. | bracke
17/11/2014 10:54 | Disco Stamps.......Hmmmm ...Little pieces of gummed printed paper of little intrinsic value but sometimes worth £ thousands. The SP Tested the 'Gravestone' on Friday but unable to break above it; a double top. A close below Wednesday's low of 1050 would suggest another attempt to fill the gap at 1020. A close above Friday's high gives good probability of 1100. | bracke
16/11/2014 13:01 | +stamps, lol.As a result of continued growth across the company's Service Centre network, multi-million pound fleet investment and impressive financial results, A-Plant is carrying out a major recruitment drive. The equipment rental company currently has over 60 new vacancies for various positions across its growing network. The new vacancies have arisen as a result of continued expansion at A-Plant. The company's Service Centre network has grown as a result of recent acquisitions such as lifting equipment specialist FLG Services, and PSS Hire which supplies equipment to the pipeline, utilities, civil engineering and associated sectors. Fleet investment is anticipated to reach over £100 million in the current year and A-Plant's latest financial results announced £268m annual turnover (for year ended 30 April 2014), representing a 30% increase against the prior year.GLDD | discodave4
16/11/2014 12:05 | uppompeii A wise man Mr O'Driscoll. Disco Are you also a train spotter? | bracke
16/11/2014 10:28 | A-Plant, a tool that could "revolutionise productivity" for Networks Rails track renewal programme.http://www | discodave4
14/11/2014 15:18 | Correct uppompeii It was many moons ago when I was a mere stripling. Such is life. We are not born with the knowledge we have to acquire it. | bracke
14/11/2014 13:53 | bracke probably wasn't an EG at 170 otherwise he surely would not have made that error. | uppompeii
14/11/2014 13:02 | Good day optomistic Nice to read from you. "but it seemed the right thing to do at the time" ==================== Indeed it did. I still tell myself that but I feel less convinced each time I do. ian No short shorts for me with this share price It's still rising and although it may retrace I am looking for a 'chunky' amount of points. When it reverses I will trade it. | bracke
14/11/2014 10:15 | "but you never can tell with AHT." You certainly can't...I sold in the 170's...I do believe along with a certain eminent guro, but it seemed the right thing to do at the time :-/ Good luck Hatter2... | optomistic

14/11/2014 08:43 | Hatter2 Welcome to the board! By way of background, a number of posters/lurkers here have held AHT for a considerable time, and therefor there is a appreciable margin of safety at the present levels. AHT is currently making an assault on new highs, and although Fundamentals are strong, from a TA perspective I am lead to believe we may be due a correction in the short term. Our TA Guru bracke is well worth listening to on this aspect, although there is a perception that AHT does not conform to accepted norms. The latest forward looking statements from management have been very positive, and Q2 results are due 10th Dec which may provide further guidance. Entry points? Depends whether you will be a committed long term holder, or are looking for a quick profit! As usual DYOR, and whatever you decide, good luck! | ianwwwhite
14/11/2014 06:46 | I have been looking at these as a potential purchase and certainly like the revenue, net profit, ROE and margin numbers. Just a tad concerned about the free cash flow numbers (due to the capital spend as the business expands) and the current ration. Have to say that it looks a good business; just a question of entry point. Any thoughts? | hatter2
13/11/2014 16:39 | bracke - will do, with interest! What with Gravestones and Open Gaps, there must be a temptation for you to get that short on soon? | ianwwwhite
13/11/2014 15:12 | ian Just keep an eye on the share price at the top of the upper wick. | bracke
13/11/2014 15:00 | Gravestone?? Well lets hope it doesn't Tombstone back down again, eh bracke? In the meantime nice to see what I believe is a new intra-day high, and a concerted effort to break above the 1070 level! | ianwwwhite
13/11/2014 10:26 | In the United Kingdom and most other parts of the world[citation needed], the term "emeritus professor" is given only to a person of outstanding merit who has already had full professorial status before he or she retired. I am fully deserving of the title but as I have no intention of retiring I must decline the honour. The SP Moving up to test the top of the Gravestone upper wick. Also an opening gap this morning. | bracke
11/11/2014 20:34 | That was serious Elite Guru speak, he's going for an Emeritus position of that I am sure. | uppompeii
11/11/2014 16:26 | To-days candle is ominous. It is a Gravestone doji and often calls top reversals. The only other one I can see on the 3 month chart above occurred a few days after the September high. You will see that following the doji the share price rose for two days but only to the top of the Gravestone upper wick. It maybe to-days fall can be attributed to the US Vetrans Day Holiday but if the share price continues its rise keep watch on what it does at the wick top. | bracke
11/11/2014 15:31 | Don't worry Bracke I don't plan to hold you to it, I was just interested. | kilgallp |
