30/6/2014 16:30 | Is that where the phrase multi-baggers comes from?......it's all a load of pants if you ask me.DD | discodave4
30/6/2014 15:33 | How do you know! I was expecting to grow into them. | bracke
30/6/2014 14:21 | They are too small for you! | fenners66
30/6/2014 12:22 | And what's wrong with these! | bracke
30/6/2014 11:46 | A lingerie model? bracke? Not a welcome image | uppompeii
30/6/2014 11:22 | ahh!! an agent provocateur. | 2flatpack
30/6/2014 10:59 | 2flat Excellent! Langley will see that I am totally opposed to the tax dodging scam being suggested. Who knows there could be a Medal of Honour in it for me. | bracke
30/6/2014 10:36 | Careful What you post. You are being monitored by Langley. you have been warned. cheers | 2flatpack
30/6/2014 10:06 | Perhaps see if we can't get uppompeii added to the Extradition Order. A BOGOFF does seem very appropriate! | bracke
30/6/2014 09:40 | Hmm, bracke almost explains himself out of that schoolguru error...though it's early Monday and the tea leaves are still settling | uppompeii
30/6/2014 09:34 | fenners Yes I know the difference but we're talking the USA. Since when did they take notice of little niceties like that. They 'screw' European companies (banks, oil, armaments, technology). Not going to have some pip squeaker getting away with it. You know how easily the UK gives up its citizens to the USA, best get your bags packed. | bracke
29/6/2014 20:39 | bracke - now you know that tax avoidance is legal, so yes. Tax evasion on the other hand is illegal and is not what I'm suggesting,(you did know the difference didn't you?). | fenners66
29/6/2014 18:57 | fenners Are you suggesting tax avoidance? I don't think the US Tax Authorities would appreciate your suggestion. Wouldn't be surprised if they apply for an Extradition Order on you. | bracke
29/6/2014 16:55 | Just read about the prospective UK corporation tax rate falling to 20% by 2015. If memory serves I noted AHT tax provision at 29%. Now I know most of the money is earned in the USA hence the higher tax rate , however surely their is scope here to turn the tables on the like of Google and Starbucks with some clever transfer pricing of overheads and intulectual property and remit more profit to the UK for a lower tax rate/ higher EPS. Come on management do us all a favour ! | fenners66
28/6/2014 12:57 | Clarky,Your right. My comment was in response mainly to post 49676. Upon selling up why have a pop at other posters......Aaah well takes all sorts.DD | discodave4
28/6/2014 12:08 | Different people have different perspectives Dave. As an investor Aht treat me brilliantly until 2006 because she rose slow and steady and this deterred the 'traders'. Since the fall and subsequent meteoric rise however there has been more volatility and faster bucks to be made. I class traders as people who consider long term to be a month and usually trade day to day. These people are sometimes successful, sometimes not but always a little impatient. Investors I class as people who are happy to ride out the intraday for the long term goals. They also tend to become attached to their relative stock and take negatives cast by others to heart. I tend to be such a person. There are and have been for a while fantastic range trading opportunities in Aht. I'm sure many have taken advantage and made a packet. I'm also sure the long gamers like fenners and I will also reap gains. For me it means I can check in a few times a day and see what's happening as opposed to Aht running my life as it once did. The traders will come and go. Usually in a cloud of pomp and bile. Us lurkers and occasional posters will stay and, for better or worse see Aht with rose tints. Cest la vie. | clarky5150
27/6/2014 18:01 | Some right grumpy f£&@£&s on here lately.......present company excluded naturally.GLDD | discodave4
27/6/2014 17:19 | fenners Hmmmm £10 by April 6th. Can't see that far ahead. | bracke
27/6/2014 15:55 | What about £10 by next April 6th? | fenners66
27/6/2014 15:54 | Bracke - you don't even need to ask , I know we don't do sarcasm on this thread, we are all so very well behaved! | fenners66
27/6/2014 15:27 | I don't make that many posts but every contribution I do make is from a fundamental view point. I do find the TA views interesting though - and certainly useful in terms of timing. | james97
27/6/2014 15:08 | fenners I hope that wasn't sarcasm. It wasn't was it? You know we don't do sarcasm on this thread. | bracke
27/6/2014 15:01 | And so another all time great contributor bites the dust , sob, how will we cope? | fenners66
27/6/2014 15:01 | ian Do you think I should be more forthright? BTW I do find it interesting that fundamentalists often express their dislike/contempt for TA but one rarely sees a TA'ist expressing the same views about fundamentalists. I take the view that whatever works best for you, so be it. I don't think fenners considers himself a TA'ist; he will correct me if I am wrong. I think he is more a financial fundamentalist. There is room for all views on this thread preferably with some hard evidence to back it up. | bracke |
