Four brokers with buy recs so far today with target prices of between 100p and 140p from PG.
So these still look ok to me. |
Ha ha sorry my predictive text slight. |
'slight'? No deception here. |
Yep no bad news there. Only thing I could see which might leave a sleight question mark is in the wording strong initial contribution from Xceed does that mean that although Xceed started strongly it has been more disappointing recently? Still overall solid result and a corner turned. |
Good news! No surprises and increasingly strong cash pile! |
Please quit with the mud slinging, everyone has an opinion and is entitled to air their views on a public forum. Choose to listen or ignore but let's not lower ourselves to playground antics. We need to get this poxy election out of the way to end uncertainty in the marketplace. |
Geraldp So what would be your take on a book bill ratio at the start & end of Q1 of 103 with the CEO saying sales are down because of orders not fitting into Q1 as sales. I would be interested to know having been an accountant all my life. After spending a large amount on Capex they have turned in a loss in Q1 only redeemed by an increase in momentum in Q2. |
'The CEO really talks boll@cks at times' - pot calling the kettle black ! |
The SPT board have appointed another member recently. The share price looks as if it rose at the tail end of today & on lowish volume, so for the rest of the week it will retrace. Lot of hot air about SPT being a M & A target but this has been going on for years. Rather keen to hear the Q4 trading update for AIE. Sorry if I go on a bit - some people follow TV soaps, these two companies are my daily soap routine. In fact the truth is they are both top notch companies ! Looking at the daily chart for AIE the price dropped at the tail end of trading today. Going back to the SPT figures I note that the Book to Bill ratio at the end of Q1 of 103 was used as an excuse for sales not occurring in the said quarter. The problem with that excuse is that (from memory) they started the Q1 with 103, so the argument is not valid. The CEO really talks boll@cks at times. |
In view of SPT offering much the same in services it is always interesting to compare the two companies. Q1 always looked as if it was going to be weak with the timing differences switching to the second half of the year. I was intrigued to find out as to whether they might still have reached really good revenues with the Capex that they have expended of late. Anite we already know are flying in Q4. |
Nobody gives a flying f@&"! |
SPT Q1 came in a little weak and the 2015 figures are being trimmed by 5 pc. (this is the first time I have made a posting at 35000 feet, courtesy of Norwegian airlines). Feel relieved to have found out, purely out of ' needing to know' |
Not guilty this time round. My holdings have been held for many years. I need to trade a little at the right times to bring in some dosh. Not before the results though. Wish my holding was as big as the CEO's -2 mill. (LOL).The only way to increase my holding now is to increase my trading % to say 50% but that would be an event later in the year. Enough about trading, I should be talking investing ! I am rather interested to see the results of Q1 SPT. Will they come in on expectations or will they be weak ? Trading update SPT 05/05/2015. |
Picobird must have gone in big time and stirring up the market! |
Nice bounce with high volume not going to hold my breath but perhaps this could be the start of better fortunes. |
Hate talking about take overs always seems to be shareholders who have held onto a losing share for far too long last throw of the dice hoping that somebody will swoop in and rescue them from the mess they have landed in. Looks like I made a bad choice of when to enter this trade with Anite but I think that 80p support will hold and hopefully a bounce from it leading up to results. So yes bad entry but by no means terrible if a bounce happens from support I will remain a holder for now but if support fails might be another matter. |
I wondered why the price has shot up so much! LOL |
Both Anite & Spirent tipped as possible takeover targets in Chronic Investigator this week |
REC Focus Asset Management sold 10% of their holding late this week, about 3 mill shares. Probably a liquidity issue. With EBIT forecast at £22 mill this is one to hold. This is a recovery year & a very strong company after the battering it went through in 2013/14. |
More signals to sell |
![](/p.php?pid=profilepic&user=picobird) BlackRock are suffering from falling revenues.
They got out of SPT a few years ago & are only a minor institutional holder in Anite. The Greek problem is causing waves. Shame that the weak Euro is going to impact on the Anite results. SPT report in $ but I think they will be down in Q1. The CEO there is a bit crafty & tends to deflect from profit figures by stressing Revenue figures even though the growth is not organic.
Thinking about it that bodes well for next week although the buyers can tend to hold back sometimes. We are due for a breakout & now is a good buying opportunity. Like Tatsfield said we are a bit of an invisible company because peeps cannot get their heads around the technology involved. Libernum on the other hand realise that Anite could be a tasty morsel in the present market. Must find some time for reading up on TA. That $24 course comes up next month - must find the time !
The course is now $19. Should there be any newbies having a peer on this thread have a look at a new website - sharepickers.com. The guy is really good for information & education but please do not invest in any tips !
Incidentally ADVFN has a treasure trove of financial information on UK companies. Although you can pay to compare company to company there is no reason why you should not just compile a spreadsheet for the companies on your "watchlist'. Bear in mind that Excel is now a free program in one form or another. |
Seems black rock is the seller driving this down |
SPT down 5.5% today. Will have to look into that - purely out of interest. They are due to report Q1 & I fancy the figures may be weak. The share price does tend to blow hot & cold. Still fancy them over 12 months though. |
