divi not fully earned and going into a huge government cutback determined consumer spending squeeze from jan - can't see any upside at all

and cash has no value when libor .75% unless they pay it out as capital repayment - yeah like that's gonna happen!

unless eps increase sharply i can't see anything to stop these drifitng lower

A few days ago a guest on CNBC mentioned that the huge increase in ETF trading volumes resulted in many excellent "value" shares (not inclued in ETF's), being ignored and left behind.

He said that his investment strategy was taking advantage of that situation.

Wish I could remember his name - I could have sent him an email about ALY!

The yield will help until a transformation event releases value.

The MMs are hauling this about as they see fit . I had words with Brooker about it, he said it was normal practice on very low vol, I call it criminal damage, I will be on to the FSA mob about it SHAMEFULL CROOKS.They are pulling the price about on just a few thousand ponds traded, yet showing millions loss on stock. A country full of MOORONS and MMs crooks on a very sound company. Ring the company?? CROOKS CROOKS CROOKS. I will hold for a long time yet and buy more with divi or befor the CROOKS put it up again, on no vol.MOORONS.

Something wrong somewhere, are the MM taking it down????

I was hoping for a Northward movement.

I now hope that the share price stays where it is until divi paid, as i'm going to reinvest all my divi back into company, so share price droping or holding will do me at mo.

Yes i know it is selfish............. but then i hope the share price starts to motor upwards, where it belongs, may i say.

I also agree that the store by me seems to be always buzzzzing with interest

Noticed that Jacques Vert (JQV) had 85,727,712 shares traded yesterday (15th)

(JQV Market Cap £33.2m at 17.25p / 192.44m shares issued)

Perhaps there is some interest returning to the small company retail sector?

Burberry reported good Q1 results this morning.

IMO ALY appear undervalued - however will continue to add and collect the 7.5%+ yield until the shares are rerated.

With ALY you need patience. It can take off all of a sudden or go down or up a penny near term to accomodate trades.

Looking at the recent trading update, a lot of the profits were made from Internet Sales so expect they want to increase their Web presence.

I expect they want to use the cash to increase the numbers of stores or maybe refits.

They are debt free & have no need for the money, so why realize an Asset that is valued in depressed market. They should hold on & sekk when commercial property values have recovered.

There is a lot more interest in these shares than one thinks? Just hold on to your socks, this is an investment company.PDYOR. NO DEBT . Making good profits, pays a divi. What more do you want? The MMs are just taking what they can on small vol.PDYOR

scotsman2 With the amount of shares traded on main market or plus markets it just does not add up at all .Shares are held tight and volume is allways very low.But there are a lot in issue 700million aprox. If you watch the MMs spike it as they please ? I dont understand it either. Does it trade on the continent? I must ask around. There is an office to take orders in Germany but they are bought through London.
