19/7/2010 20:49 | A few days ago a guest on CNBC mentioned that the huge increase in ETF trading volumes resulted in many excellent "value" shares (not inclued in ETF's), being ignored and left behind. He said that his investment strategy was taking advantage of that situation. Wish I could remember his name - I could have sent him an email about ALY! I now hope that the share price stays where it is until divi paid, as i'm going to reinvest all my divi back into company, so share price droping or holding will do me at mo. Yes i know it is selfish............. but then i hope the share price starts to motor upwards, where it belongs, may i say. 05/7/2010 14:32 | RNS Number : 7830O Ashley (Laura) Hldgs PLC 05 July 2010 5 July 2010 Laura Ashley Holdings plc (the "Company") Significant Property Transaction The Company today announces that one of its subsidiary companies, Laura Ashley Limited ("LAL"), has entered into an agreement with British Overseas Bank Nominees Limited and WGTC Nominees Limited as nominees for The Royal Bank of Scotland plc as trustee of the Skandia Property Fund for the sale and leaseback of LAL's freehold property at Interlink Business Park, Bardon, Coalville, Leicestershire (the "Property") comprising a warehouse with attached two-storey office for a cash consideration of GBP12.35 million. The agreement comprises a GBP1.0 million deposit paid upon signing on 2 July 2010 with the remaining balance to be settled upon completion on 6 July 2010. The Property will be leased back to LAL on a 12-year lease. The Property has a book value of GBP8.25 million and provides a gross internal area of approximately 169,000 sq. ft., which will continue to be used by the Company for warehousing and distribution purposes. This transaction will give rise to a profit of approximately GBP4.0 million in LAL. If you watch the MMs spike it as they please ? I dont understand it either. Does it trade on the continent? I must ask around.
