20/2/2019 09:54 | I still expect this to be delisted this year. | phowdo
20/2/2019 09:49 | I bought some LA when it was floated all those years ago and sold a long time ago too. A few years ago I was looking at the yield and it seemed good. Read this board and found that this is almost a private company in terms of size of shareholdings and that it was uninvestable. Share price has declined from mid 20's to less than 3 and it still is. You obviously have just gambled here and now are writing uninformed utterances about rising - when the half year loss has come with another profit warning !! You are of course wasting your time if you are seeking to influence the share price up as the share price is showing and no one on this board has a hope of moving the price anyway. How long are you going to give your gamble? Bear in mind that is an all time low for a reason. Though I concede when it falls low enough this will probably get taken private - possibly at a small premium - but a premium to what price 1p ? | fenners66
20/2/2019 09:21 | Seems to me that several buyers are ready to take a long term punt, as it looks undervalued with Inventory of around 50 million plus cash from the Hotel Sale. Websites fresh and bright, focused business with the right number of outlets with closures in a controlled manner. Could well end up in the blue today and rising towards 5p very soon imo.DYOR | clocktower
20/2/2019 09:00 | If you have been a long standing shareholder, I can understand the anger but there are shoots of growth that in the next year or so, might bring about change. Growth in the share price is more important than dividends imo. Has the divorce not yet been settled fenners66? | clocktower
20/2/2019 08:51 | "6 Related party transactions The related party transactions that have occurred in the 26 week period ended 31 December 2018 are not materially different in size or nature to those reported in the Group's Annual Report for the financial year ended 30 June 2018. " But we are not going to say what they were - we make it a bit harder and make you go look them up ! Also you could read that as the same value in 26 weeks as in a whole year. | fenners66
20/2/2019 08:41 | Have you not read this board for the past 3 years ? There are not that many posts - ALL this was predicted. "he Board now holds the view that the performance for the entire year will fall short of market expectations" They know exactly what they are doing - took all the money loaded it with debt , bought a huge property in Singapore and denied shareholders a dividend. After all if you have a majority stake in a company why pay a dividend - all shareholders participate in that. Then shock horror there is no use for the property and its sold to "someone" at a loss. Still no dividend and core business declines ... Meanwhile owner goes through messy divorce which will presumably take into account his assets into account for a divorce settlement - how unfortunate for his wife that he had so much invested here and its value declined so much..... | fenners66
20/2/2019 08:14 | Debt Free and since the end of 2018 - Hotel sold for £6 million 2019 - though business is going to struggle in the next few months a turnaround could be on the cards. Bar the risks we all know about it might be a fair punt at sub 3p Good Luck. | clocktower
06/1/2019 15:23 | Would have to pay around £30M to take this private, may as well wait...….. | killieboy
04/1/2019 12:10 | It should go private if my guess at their plan is correct ? | fenners66
04/1/2019 10:27 | Why does it take so long to fall to 1p..? | blueball
03/1/2019 09:19 | About to fold. | oakville
27/12/2018 09:24 | Will it survive another year. | blueball
21/12/2018 13:13 | My brother used to play this song(Tell Laura)repeatedly in the sixties for reasons I will not go into but it brought back many memories of my late brother. How long has LA been heading towards cashing out? | clocktower

19/12/2018 01:37 | Tell Laura I love her When Yu gets to China Tell Laura she's not to cry Cos China sales just might fly Like the last throw of a spinning die My love for her will never stop Till ALY hits the zero spot | buywell3
18/12/2018 20:07 | It would not surprise me at all now pictureframe. This Hotel was the one security that provided some degree of comfort to stakeholders but now this has gone I fear this may join the list you speak of in due course. This Hotel was supposed to provide a home for the promotion of the Brand and all its English heritage, and a place to entertain buyers etc. | clocktower
18/12/2018 19:07 | money goes to china money disappears....look at the number of aim shares where this has happened. Maybe it will bee different here. | pictureframe
18/12/2018 16:06 | Not a good sign selling the Hotel in the UK imo. They bought it for £5.8m in 2011 invested a lot in it and have now sold it for £6m. Giving them Cash to use in China I guess. This makes me very negative of this stock now, as the company silver is moved to China possibly. | clocktower
17/12/2018 13:23 | What China out of reach of Amazon. Dream on. | a1samu
17/12/2018 09:24 | why don't they put out rns about this. | johnyee 7

17/12/2018 08:16 | A good move that supports on-line APAC area growth. 120 UK outlets is more than enough to support the on-line offerings. Looking at the news, it seems they will also expand the profitable UK stores and upgrade them. | clocktower
17/12/2018 07:38 | Investing in China .Did they sell the Singapore building ?And Chinese investments have proved to often disappear .Closing 40 stores here , the cash invested in a building in Singapore and now moving to China .Great if it's all In the interests of shareholders .Personally I liked the big cash pile paying the dividend in the UK !Fingers crossed this ends well .Could be a master stroke on the other hand . Place your bets !Sicknote | s34icknote
17/12/2018 07:32 | Laura Ashley to close 40 UK stores amid a push into China Really should be an RNS for this... | phowdo |
