Ascent Resources descended 40 per cent to 0.06p after its chairman and finance director departed to make way for industry veteran James Parsons.

The share price crash reflected an £800,000 fundraise at a 44 per cent discount on Thursday's closing price.

Can only hope James does a better job than he did a Sound Energy. The TCF's of gas turned out to to be somewhat optimistic, and shareholders go shafted as usual.
