Good news. Surprised this didn't bounce today. At the end of the day, things aren't that bad. Ok, the major shareholder is in prison, but they have a profitable cash generative business with assets.

Yes, should be suspended from today, in the absense of any news. ARKO will then have one month (I think) in which to appoint a NOMAD. If/when they do, the suspension will be lifted, if not - delisted.

With the unusual activity in the last couple of months, I'm thinking along the lines that another NOMAD will be dragged in from somewhere. After all, they get a fee, we have to presume the accounts are currently under scrutiny.

Then, we just need ten years of upward growth in turnover & profit. As you can see, for a shareholder in ARKO (of 5 years+) its important to have a sense of humour.........

topvest, you may be right. Another awful day on the markets appears likely (unless Wall Street opens sharply higher).

Meanwhile it looks as though somebody, somewhere - has bought some ARKO shares. Though, again - small beer, in terms of numbers. As I've said before, I have written my investment in ARKO off, some time ago. Though I couldn't be bothered to actually sell them. So you never know..........

Results ok. Not a totally lost cause here, given underlying business is profitable and cash generative. Just need a replacement NOMAD now.

Very strange, as you say. More buying today.... perhaps a few more people should resign...?

In any case, the last few trades appear to have been buys. Though, in the bigger picture, very small beer. Still, where there's hope.....

Unfortunately - yes. Though (mentally, at least), I wrote the investment off a few years ago.

tightest spread i've seen in a while.. 0.40 to buy and sell @ 0.38... perhaps someone could take out the entire operations of arko..?

Hm, some activity afoot..... volume over 250,000 today, looking like buys. very unusaul for ARKO, heaviest day of trades since last July, it seems.

Very pleased to see the rise today and even happier as boughtin first thing. On a serious not the real next winner could be PAA. Excellent little company which has been way oversold.

NAV still significant premium to current share price . although have'nt looked into it for a while.. did some calcs last time excluding intangibles..

From last results: "Apart from the new 45t/45m rail-mounted gantry crane reported in my chairman's
statement of 31 December 2006, construction of another two gantry cranes of a
similar size is under way and we have placed an order for three 45-tons quayside container cranes in August. Completion of the construction of the new rail as well as the renovation of the quayside will substantially increase the capacity of the terminal and we are therefore optimistic about the growth in the operation of the terminal in the years to come."

Yesterday's Market cap is under £4m bears no relevance to true market value imho.

Been marked down such a lot on terribly thin trading and you can buy so little online. Answer with this one is to build up a stake in small parcels then sit back and wait for the next results announcement.
