Don't you fancy PALM with Kerim's involvement there?

Pardon the off topic, but Soulsauce, do you speak of Panther Metals? The one that appears to have gone from 200p+ to 7p since Jan? Was it some sort of Scrip issue,.. huge placement? I won't ask anymore questions now. That's my last off-topic comment.

Soulsauce, Rumpus1, Kirbs4, Lottsgold, Shortarm, Bigglesbingham et al. Thanks so much for the pointers, I'll get my nose to the grindstone, but I know I'm in good company here, so I'm very grateful that I don't have to start immediately with a case of 'investors block'. Cheers again and I'll let you know where it drops.

I'll be honest i stumbled across PUR.. I was in the process of adding to the best of my existing holdings during the covid crash back in March and after adding to AAU and CHF started to scout about, PUR hadn't dipped quite as much but looked a bit deeper and liked what i found, was disappointed i hadnt found them sooner tbh but this is only a hobby for me!

If it halved it would have more cash than market cap. It was a silly comment by a so called chartist with half the facts.

Rumpus you don't need to hear reports of nuggets coming out of the ground in Victoria just watch Aussie Gold Hunters on a Monday night and you will see it played out ;-)

Thanks for responding A technical analyst/Elliott wave fanatic friend of mine basically told me over the weekend that he was going to be buying my holdings at half the price and seemed to take some pleasure in that. Must admit I got spooked but I feel it would be wrong to join him, I was in a long time ago. Value will out in the end - though keeping a bit of cash may come in handy

Hi Crossfire, there's some interesting things going on in Victoria at the moment. There are a whole load of other (earylish stage) projects surrounding the Fosterville South mine at the moment. FS is run by Kirkland Lake and is a world class mine and it looks like the deposits run into numerous other areas. There are lots of reports of people with metal detectors pulling up nuggets at the surface on these territories which were part of the 1880s Australian gold rush.

I'm in 3 separate plays on this - ECR minerals, Red Rock and Power Metal resources. The last 2 are working together. All 3 have seen significant price rises in the last week or two but the news flow hasn't really started. That said, Craig Brown at ECR has been saying JV deals on both of his major prospects are imminent. This weekend he's also said there should be a deal announced imminently on one of them. I've been in 2 of these for some time and I've seen some commentary on here that ECR is a massive ramp etc etc but all 3 featured on the mineprophets roadshow which I thought was £2.99 very well spent. Have a look and DYOR as always but the geology on these three looks compelling and they have great potential IMHO. Some criticism of Brown is he doesn't have enough skin in the game and people feel his progress has been slow. Others have levelled criticism at RRR that they've been here before and it never happened - they've also had some African shenanigans which is largely resolved but can put some people off.

I quite like the potential of PUR they will be producing by end of the year and the upside exploration is huge. Market cap looks high at the moment but I think there will be a steady rise once it consolidates.

Anyone else think some of the JV money will go towards a new JV with Palm? Kerim is already involved and known to be 'excited' about some of their prospects......

Okay, I've got £10k to throw at something. Excellon Resources are looking ripe, I've been hearing the talk on here re AAZ but have done little research, and PCX likewise. I'm going to get the head down and endeavour to find another AAU, but any leads would be interesting to hear from the sensible regulars on here. On the other hand it's a very personal thing, so please feel free to tell me to stuff off and DYOR... :o)

I've been investing in shares for the last 20 years so seen a few crashes. I was told that if I was going to panic then panic early. I was never early enough to panic and just sat tight and within a few months was back to or above my previous valuation.

A potential crash will have little affect on fundamentals of the company. Exactly as happened four months ago. Sentiment may drive price down but will be even stronger the other side. Here the thing is a crash may improve price of gold silver after an initial dip and the fundamentals will be strengthened further. Therefore I'd suggest it's a dangerous game waiting for point of entry resulting from a correction which cannot be predicted. What is known are the operations of AAU and to me you invest based on what you know first then ask yourself if you ride out any falls will you be in a better position in the long run. I have a Golden rule and that's never try and time the markets. A solution may be to phase the investment over predetermined time for fixed amounts.

AAU dropped to less than 2P with COVID-19.....Didn't take long to come back did it? Same applies to any future crash- initial sell off and then everyone will pile in like crazy!!
