29/8/2019 09:53 | And relax....The share price has done relatively well and will continue to do so - patience is unfortunately the key..... | shortarm
29/8/2019 09:34 | biggles - by lifestyle company I mean they are loaded up with cheap options, allow themselves exclusively and no other shareholders to participate in fundraisings and run the company to perpetuate the geologists dream, giving nothing whatsoever back to their shareholders. Raising market awareness followed by a substantial price increase would deter predators and probably at least give shareholders a sense of elation which is something as a holder I haven't felt for some time. | charles clore
29/8/2019 09:33 | "More recently, though, the mining boom has faltered, with political instability and permitting issues causing investment – as well as the expansion of new gold mines – to slow. " Includes additional comments from Kerim | carcosa
29/8/2019 09:29 | I think that describing this as a lifestyle company is a very unfair accusation. The company has come a long way. Look at the number of companies that have been in this space and see how many have brought the asset through to production. If they wanted a lifestyle company they would follow the path of RRR or RGM (and now POW) and buy 'promising' assets that will never amount to anything. I understand that a share price falling back creates this sort of dynamic on bulletin boards but you need to keep in mind what has been achieved and what is coming on the horizon. Things like Salinbas are great prospects but it is hardly the BoD's fault if they do not produce Hot Maden type intercepts. To put it in perspective, I recall how gloomy an AAZ bulletin board was years ago when the share price was languishing in the low single digits. Times change. | jc2706

29/8/2019 09:20 | Charles there's no sense in the board trying to surprise the share price. They hold loads and increased share price means it wards off potential buyers. So if they wanted a lifestyle company keeping shareprice low goes against this theory | bigglesbingham
29/8/2019 09:14 | dixi - I think there has been a steady PI exodus already. The big question is, can that be corrected before it is too late? | charles clore
29/8/2019 09:07 | But would it not make so much more sense for the share price to be higher, in turn an offer for the company would reward the board ever more highly? Needs excitement, but what will be catalyst? A JV partner at Salinbas, diversification, the realisation that there is no debt (soon), possibly a dividend? Otherwise as bigglesbingham states, pi's will be off chasing rainbows elsewhere. | dixi
29/8/2019 09:04 | CC ...precisely. A small dividend would represent a defensive play at this stage of proceedings to increase share price and hopefully ward off cheap takeovers bids. Kerim you know you like conservatism. | 8rad
29/8/2019 08:54 | The bod is not stupid. They know the share price should be higher, yet they are doing nothing to promote the company. I'm afraid this is beginning to smell of a lifestyle company where the board take generous pay and options packages but suppress the share price by keeping PR on a leash. I think they may get caught with their trousers down when the predatory majors set their sights on rich undervalued pickings at Salinbas. Prove me wrong Kerim. Announce a small dividend starting next year, I dare you. | charles clore
29/8/2019 08:45 | Overview: The message is still not being conveyed well enough to improve share price in my view. | goldenshare888

28/8/2019 23:14 | I’m not sure if it was intentional but really liked the ‘ore inspiring’ :-) | dixi
28/8/2019 23:07 | If you go to turkey it is so impressive , when I visited the mine I landed in Istanbul and it was ore inspiring in term of size and development. Listening to some on these boards you'd thing it was a small tin pot nation it isn't . DYOR and you'll be amazed. | bigglesbingham
28/8/2019 23:04 | From proactive interview - resource extension at kiziltepe expected. This was a snippet but shouldn't be overlooked. I'd be surprised if they went away from procea for JV partner for salinbas but there are merits in doing so I.e. not reliant on one JV relationship and muddies the water for takeover at low price. I think we will find money being taken out of goldies which have done significantly better than AAU recently and being redirected to other goldies which have an ever improving bottom line ie companies like AAU . Kerim was exceptionally pleased at receiving the 10 year license ahead of expectation, although it didn't really come through in the interview. Tarsvan still progressing , metallurgy being done on best way to transport the ore is what I read from interview . Data being shared on salinbas, this is quite a change in thinking in my view from fully exploring area to know what they have to bringing in partner at early stage. I'd be very interested to see the terms relating to further significant resource expansion but they are definitely conscious about selling the asset short. Having said that little is priced in for salinbas so this may give some positive impetus to share price in short term who knows. Finally the broker note stated target 3.18 p at gold price of 1275 nothing was mentioned about the 5p they valued aau at 1500. Imho an excellent opportunity missed by the broker to promote AAUs disconnect between shareprice and value (i.e. by including the value matrix which was on their previous note when the gold price was sub $1300) . Tells me a lot about PG - not really promoters and we need a promoter !!albeit one to replace PG or an additional one who are more proactive and a little less conservative. | bigglesbingham
28/8/2019 22:34 | Hi all. I don't accept that Turkey is a particularly politically dangerous place to invest. Geopolitically it is very important and is respected by the 'West' - but it hasn't got the wage and cost levels associated with 'developed' western economies. To compare Turkey to a corrupt regime like Tanzania is bordering on the bonkers. | jaynesdad
28/8/2019 22:15 | Debt collector been around for ages no gas one positive thing to say, a definite shorter. | bigglesbingham
28/8/2019 22:05 | And another one cometh - a definite positive sign whether charter, chartist or farter!! | shortarm
28/8/2019 22:01 | Interview with Kerim todayhttps://www.pro | the deacon
28/8/2019 21:27 | The 'issue' here is political instability in Turkey - it is not a great investment destination currently - a bit like Tanzania has been an avoid for an age. | the_debt_collector
28/8/2019 20:44 | Might want to look at the long term gold chart and the impact of US coming off the gold standard in 1971 and the ascension of FIAT. In particular, the explosion of debt in the last 20 years...or the creation of huge amounts of paper money... | highly geared
28/8/2019 20:25 | Well, he is particularly arrogant and condescending that is true but some of what he states is accurate. When everybody is bullish it is usually a time to run for the exit but you have to be wary of using the COT report too slavishly. Which is also the case for TA, classic or otherwise. Of course, I have only be doing this for 30+ years and only understand the "basics of charting" so I am happy to bow to obviously superior knowledge. | jc2706 |
