Ah, soul. If they did as suggested in your 16113 I've no doubt the trolls would start calling AAU a 'pump on news' company, rather than the current 'sell on news' company!

Thanks for sharing bigglesbingham. Shame we can not get the hang of wording rns to provide excitement instead of us second guessing what they actually mean as in the reveiwing drilling of Salinbas statements.

Just had a good chat with MDV regarding this mornings RNS. What struck me was the mine mentioned was 50000 ounces over ten years but there was no mention of the potential additional 2.7m resource we had heard about. The bottom line is this is still very much the target, and results have not done anything but add value to the conceptual model. I suggest they should have reiterated this in the email and he acknowledged how this could be read. The grant of permit should not be underestimated and Kerim is very excited about it as it was in advance of expectations. The Byron hol in turkey was slightly longer than last year so I'm personally expecting quarterlies next week . There's significant interest from a number of serious parties regarding salinbas but there is a conscious concern not to undersell. All aspects of the company are progressing well, the bank is extremely happy with Ariana and I think funding for tarsvan is a stick on. However my gut regarding tarsvan is that it's not imminent but that doesn't really bother me, it's an asset to draw on in due course. However MDV said EIA progressing so we will see if I'm right. I didn't mention the broker as they put me in a bad frame of mind when I discuss them. Must say it's good to email the chairman with concerns and get immediate answer / clarity. Cheers

Sigh!! Another piece of news and gold holding $1500 and the only thing that's changed is the spread 👎

Charles I am not sure the quarterlies are going to provide the spark unfortunately.

We know from the perlim report that production for the quarter was down about 15% on the previous quarter and I am guessing the push backs may have increased costs. Of course stronger PMs prices will offset this a little.

The interims in Sept might provide more of a spark but hopefully there may be something before that might get volume and share price up.

soul - I'm thinking the quarterlies which should be out about now.

Consolidation around 2p is taking a bit longer than I imagined but it's all good solid stuff imho.

You mean interims Charles or the quarterlies?

Lacking the spark yes, but i think we shook off the speculators who were waiting for a spark with the good but not spectacular Salinbas results. That would explain the positive movement today on equally good but not spectacular news.

Not a great deal going to change until volume increases and sales dry up, like the 150k just gone through.

Company still lacking that spark or something different to get PIs interested.

I would have thought that the best approach was to hold your cards pretty close to your chest at this point. Proccea obviously are in a good position but if you are looking for the best deal you would not want to show bias in any one direction now.

soul - I would think that with a project the size of Salinbas everything would be under constant review to pursue the quickest, cheapest and most profitable way forward.

Soul, why do you say Proccea not all over it. They have been mentioned as a potential partner in the past. I would think that they would be a good match for a JV partner as they have done a sterling job in the current JV and seem to get on well with our BOD. They have experience of building mines and operating them. If I could, I would vote for them but I assume there are others interested.
Mind you I would still like to see this sold and a big divi for shareholders. (I'm not so young that I can wait 10 years!)

JD I get where you are coming from.

Great that we are seeking an early JV partner which seems a bit of a change in direction. Strange that Proccea are not all over it.
Sounds to me like Hiz and Ardala are looking like the areas the company is most excited about.

I am not sure what to make of this comment:-
"Salinbas operational licence forestry application submission under review by the Company to enable future drilling"
What about the other 8000mts mcmather was talking about that we already have permission for?

Why under review? Why has the application not just been submitted? Is the review just while they source the best area to drill after recent results?

JD - a JV (in whatever form it takes) means Salinbas will move forward more quickly. It has to be a good thing imho

Well its news! The share price has risen, be interesting to see if it sustains. I don't want to comment on the content because its beyond me. Didn't understand if they mean a JV for the whole of Salinbas or just parts already drilled. Lets see what other news emerges about Q2, Tavsan etc
