Ariana – News From Kiziltepe….Still A Buy

AIM-listed Gold producer in Turkey, Ariana Resources (AAU) has announced exploration and development news at its 23.5% owned Kiziltepe mine as it plans to extend mine production through to 2025 and, I hope, well beyond.

Future exploration work at Kiziltepe will focus on conceptual targets based on key
features identified in IP geophysical data (Figure 4). These targets were discussed in
detail in early 2023 (AIM: 21 February 2023 ). However, a summary of the targets is
presented below.
The Company is now planning a further 2,500m of priority drilling with up to 5,000m
planned in total. This next phase of drilling is expected to start in Q3/Q4 2023, with the aim to systematically test the targets described below.

With the current excellent 11 dollars per ounce of gold found I expect this drilling will find some more ounces!

I think the satellite deposits will last a while yet.Finding out where the known veins end after three years of drilling means there is a significant gap from where we are mining to where we can mine.

I see the RNS as confirming continued production from the pit and a possible later move underground, there would be a learning curve to endure but will be interesting to know what is down there.

Any thoughts on the RNS? I just read it positively that the company acknowledges we are in the end game at Kiziltepe but may eke out positive cashflow from there until Tavsan production is well established. Which is good and implies the possibility of a small regular dividend within a couple of years.
Does anyone know what happens to the plant at Kiziltepe? Sold or mothballed for future use elsewhere?
