Ariana Resources says drilling confirms higher-grade mineralisation at Banu area of Kiziltepe mine

The results confirm the presence of higher-grade mineralisation towards the south-eastern end of the Banu vein

Ariana Resources PLC (LON:AAU) said drilling results from the Banu area of the Kiziltepe mine in Turkey confirmed the presence of higher-grade mineralisation at the south-eastern end of the vein system.

A drilling programme tested the south-eastern half of the Banu vein system over 200 metres of strike to depths of about 100 metres. New significant intercepts within the vein system included 4.1 metres at 3.58 g/t (grammes per tonne) gold and 78.9 g/t silver; 7.0 metres at 2.01 g/t gold and 70.6 g/t silver; and 2.6 metres at 5.08 g/t gold and 102.5 g/t silver.

"These results confirm the presence of higher-grade mineralisation towards the south-eastern end of the Banu vein and improve confidence in the mineral resource and reserve estimation,” said Ariana’s managing director Dr. Kerim Sener.

“The results also demonstrate the continuity of the vein system to at least 100m below surface over more than 200m of strike.

“The higher-grade zone at Banu, like those on Arzu South, appears to plunge moderately towards the south-east. This finding, in particular, highlights the opportunity to identify other plunging shoots containing high-grade mineralisation elsewhere along strike.

“As with other vein systems at Kiziltepe, additional drilling has proven the potential to add to the resource base, which could lead to further increases to the life of mine," he said.

Kiziltepe is 23.5% owned by Ariana.

Well articulated Plas. Youre spot on.any chance you can spare a couple of days a week and take up the NED post? To me, it’s almost like finding that final piece of the jigsaw- it’s often sitting right underneath your nose. Hope the board reads these posts occasionally- but I doubt it.

I can't disagree with much said here of late and Plas you have hit it on the nose. I'm comfortable with Ariana but it does feel like they are waiting for a lot of loose ends to be tied up. I would love to hear about plans for Salinbas. I understand the BOD have no control on the permits and the legal issues of the divi but it would be nice to see we are striving forward with our new partners and not stagnating. Lots of news to come...nice to see the share price moving in the right direction ...one day the poloshirt will be worn with pride!

Good post plas. My hunch is they are behind on everything you listed hence waiting for affirmative news rather than holding rnss which would beg the questions as to why they are behind. Having said that I'm not to bothered because I've been in the fortunate position to be able to add while the share price has. Even in the 4s. Last Friday I added 400k at 4.9 in hope of Cyprus drill results this week today's end was nice bonus . Loads to look forward to here.

Plas great post as always, I love your use of kettle boiling, I often refer to it as momentum. I don't think many appreciate the value of momentum.Looking at it positively though i think everything you have outlined is a detailed view of my gut feeling that we are at the beginning of another opportunity for share price progression. It has got to the point where there is so much either overdue or imminent that there can't not be a steady flow of news for months.

If the proposed cancellation of the Company's share premium account is approved by Shareholders at the General Meeting, it will be subject to the scrutiny of, and confirmation by, the High Court, which will take due account of the protection of creditors and, subject to that confirmation and registration by the Registrar of Companies in England and Wales of the order of the High Court, is expected to take effect on or around 1 July 2021.

Are they optimistic or just better organised?

Agree it is Conservative pharm, but that is factoring years of experiencing what actually happens with the AAU share price as opposed to what should :). I hope you're right.

The latest drilling completed at Banu comprises eleven diamond drill holes for a total of 790.6m. Assays returned several robust results which provide significant additional data for a further resource update, which will be completed when all results have returned for the wider Kiziltepe area.

Good news indeed! Am I asking too much that we now grasp the metal and have a series of good news RNS’s covering the dividend, tavsan, Salinbas, Cyprus and Eastern Europe, plus more drilling results from kiziltepe? If so, then 6-6.5p by end of June would be conservative.

Very good results this morning. They clearly have a very good idea that the drilling results are going to be very positive going forward. It's fairly low risk from that perspective. The mine life will almost certainly get extended, it's just a case of how good the full results of the drilling campaign are. I don't think that this has been priced in whatsoever. We should be well above where we are now

Again excellent results and we cannot assume this is luck , this is where KS and the Geology team at AAU excel ! Their expertise unleashed at Salinbas and Cyprus is a significant reason for the size of my holding.
