Turkey is business friendly and still a democracy within NATO as far as I understand.
So if you are put off by Mr Erdogan then there is a world of opportunity for you out there, good luck and bon voyage!

actonovator - acknowledged.

IMO, what might increasingly put people off investing here could be an increasingly vocal president, who seems to be making his presence felt in many areas, whilst avoiding more important internal and economic matters nearer home. Same situation as in Iran. To me anyway, that situation can greatly influence investing decisions.

On the basis that AK Party spies are everywhere, I will desist from saying anything further.

Corrientes, whilst I'm sure many of us long term holders have done a bit of trading on the highs and lows and perhaps top-sliced here and there, I think AAU is very different to many other AIM companies. It's not just about blue-sky and prospects, but also has actually delivered a very profitable mine.

A couple of days ago I couldnt help but notice someone on the AAZ board remarking about how unique AAZ was on AIM for meeting its production targets every year. Well there is is another AIM company who has been exceeding their annual production targets and will probably do so this year again - AAU.

Ok Friday didnt go to script and made us a bit twitchy but this company to date has given very little bad news.

I've seen this before. The people on a BB saying how wonderful a company's prospects are,can often be the very ones selling. LOL. That's why you can never take anything on a BB seriously, particularly for an AIM share. It's all just one big gamble. Coming up with an infinite number of reasons why this did or did not happen is invariably proven to be meaningless.

For all our speculation, the large transactions and the price changes show no correlation to the times they occurred.

The 5m transaction, whether it was a buy or sell, should have had some effect - when we know small transactions can often change the price - but it took place at 9:17 a.m. and the first price change of the day didn't take place for more than another half-hour later.

Something does not ring true - perhaps the 5m will be reversed out tomorrow morning ?

This is how LSE show the discussed deals, they report the 5m and 1.327m trades as buys, on each occasion the price paid is recorded as above the spread

At the end of the day someone offloaded 15m plus at a bizarre time to be selling? with so much news flow predicted and divided around the corner, but when you see other PM explorers with daily double digit increases, I can't help but think that some have got itchy feet with the constant waiting and will look for quick gains elsewhere, with hope of getting back in here in a few weeks, either believing there will be further delays here, or knowing there are going to be further delays with JV. Or could be that Turkey is in news too much for wrong reasons and as such divested. But again as stated, 12-13m selling we should have been down to -5 so something going on that doesn't sit right, of course unless you're in the AIM !

Ekuuleus you very well may be right. But for me its a smoke and mirrors day. If you accept all the trades at face value then 12m out of 15.5m were sells. With such sustained selling we would be sub 5p by now. But we'll see

The 3.9M also looks lime a sell, poss the rest of the position fro. 5m. It was 1h20 after the 5m and at 5.75.

The 1.3m does look lime a buy. Lots of small buys throught day is what held this share up.

The 5m was at 5.9p when the bid offer was 5.9-6.1. It was a sell, but it was taken up by purchases.

Overall the share price only moved downwards after that sell.

Think you hit nail on head there. I sent an email to company couple of years ago explaining my predicament. I had a load of shares 3% and still do , but there will come a time when I want to be rewarded for loyalty and holding the stock for a number of years. I don't want to dump stock into the open market as it would affect the share price and thus the value of my remaining holding and the holding of other shareholders my of whom are on this board and I feel an affinity for (I know that sounds strange but that's way I am). I got a reply acknowledging my position simple as that. The Ozaltin deal answered my email. To me this shows the board listens and thinks outside the box. The was exemplified by Asgard ehen they turned 35000 into 3.5 million ! I will be voting for the deal if no hidden surprises.

Frankly I would be happy enough to get a 0.5p special divi. I'm happy to have cash retained in the business to develop longer term opportunities which could multiply that cash. Looks like most shareholders will be happy for around 1p though - I guess who can blame them, a 100%+ divi for some early investors, so they don't even need to sell half their shares to get a 'free ride' !!

$30m + $5.75m = in sterling £27m, to be injected into the Co. very soon against a Mkt. Cap. of £60m. That's 45% of our current Mkt Cap. coming in as cash. Or the equivalent of circa 2.5p. Anyone think the current share price is wrong (undervalued)?

From the last RNS on the Transaction. "Ariana intends to distribute a circular to Shareholders to convene a General Meeting seeking approval for the Transaction during October".
So the circular this week.

Nope they use a broker to buy an amount for then and sometimes this reflect in the market being manipulated. Never prove it though. They don't buy on open market even though that would be the logic.

I would think it would be reflected in the larger trades and the price even if under 3% :)

Next week will be a good week obviously mms suppressed the price to facilitate the buy now that looks as though complete and the buys should outnumber sells considerably. That's my view anyway

We might not find out Lotts, if this is their first stake, as it's under 3% obviously.I hope we rebound next week too. I guess there's a risk of people getting nervous and selling up or getting stopped out in the drop.I'm just focusing on the medium/long term picture.
