That link is a month old?? |
A very upbeat Kerim...... |
thanks to shortarm |
The share price performance of AAU over the last four years has been dismal. My average purchase price is 2.8p/share so some way underwater as of today. If I had a big bag of money available to invest in Dokwe, unless I've missed something (which is quite possible) there's no way I would do so without majority control of the project. Please someone explain why I could be willing to do so? Gla. |
Interview out on proactive. |
The charts recent oscillations are suggesting an inflection point, up or down, we should know soon enough.
I am also watching the Coppock indicator which currently lies just below zero on a rising trend. Should it rise above zero that would be a strong buy signal.
Alternatively it could turn down which would not be good.
Which ever way things turn out we will will know in the next month or so.
GLA and fingers crossed. |
JD I don't ever foresee a situation where Ariana get a free carry to production at Dokwe. At the very best they need to get back pro rata what they have shelled out in shares, but then I foresee costs to production being pro rata too. But still better than having to find $150m to build the mine themselves, in the current climate anyway. |
None of my buys showing up yet. |
as said many times - BB you are my hope.
thank you for taking actions
i vibe with you and your thoughts |
Access to capital for microcap mining exploration & development companies is extremely scarce and costly. It remains to be seen whether the ASX is much better than AIM. By contrast, new mining projects are ten-a-penny (partly for the above reason). So having a geologist in charge who loves exploring might be considered an extremely unwise strategy. Faced with these facts, the glacial development of Salinbas is not really a surprise. Dokwe might well be the same. Diluting shareholders to acquire Dokwe looks a very high risk move. Imho these are the points you need management to focus on. |
Very busy on X. Well done Biggles. |
Cost no doubt cheap as chips down in SA @ ZAR 18.40 to the $. Will also be security issues holding it off site. |
Are they listening? At the actual event...! |
Shortarm, BB I agree. Sener is CEO, but MDV is from an extensive Mine Finance and accounting background. What the hell does he do? If Sener has shortcomings on business and finance then why does MDV not aid him. What is the point of him? |
And also was there during the Beaufort raisings Shortarm. |
I have to agree but hopefully realisation will dawn. |
MDV was mining finance wasn't he? |
aau needs to get a ceo to navigate the forthcoming financing/jv requirements but ks's ego will not allow it. a second best would be a board level financial director.
if ks continues to rely on external financial advisers/brokers who operate on fees and bonuses he will continue to get advice which may not be (and often is not) in the company's best interests. experience as a world class geologist does not qualify him to judge what is and is not sound advice where financing and commercial agreements are concerned but his ego may prevent him realising that.
credit to him for bringing aau this far but a really wise manager would realise its time to bring on board mental muscle for areas that are not his strengths and who are truly aligned with the company's interests and not rely on external advisers.
until evidence to the contrary i doubt this will happen and the likelihood is the bulk of the spoils will go to others, not the current shareholders. i will be delighted to be wrong on this. |
Spot on soulsauce They’ll need him to do a better deal next time round. Incidentally, seeing as Kerim’s strength is as a geologist, how did he make a JV where he got the number of ounces he was selling so wrong? ———;——- As of the end of 2024, the mine had produced a total of 171,907 ounces of gold (planned circa 100,000 ounces of gold) and, including silver credits, recorded over US$328 million in revenue since operations commenced in early 2017. |
A JV doesn't necessarily guarantee good terms bigglesbingham. Even with close allies Proccea and Ozaltin they gave an awful lot away for not very much in return so far. |
