The timing and fundamentals couldn't be better here. The gold ads are back on the telly again. The complex head and shoulders continuation pattern in gold is more or less complete, indicating an initial short to mid-term target of $2,600.

The last time gold hit $1,900 the miners barely shifted, which demonstrated that it wasn't a top in gold,.... merely a temporary high in a much larger bull market. Idiots like Krugman did their victory laps as the price subsided, whilst it was obvious to the Austrians among others that this was a secular bull of 20 or more years.

This time the market has climbed the wall of worry once again, and they finally believe. The shares are now rising with the metal. This is huge. It tells us that the final chapter has just begun. Once Joe public start to buy their gold shares and your taxi driver asks you which shares you own, the time to sell will be drawing nearer. This will make the dot-com bubble look like a non-event. Prices of shares such as AAU could literally end up anywhere. There's no way of knowing. 10p? £20? More? Literally no way of knowing, but make no mistake, both are within the realms of possibility. All bets will shortly be off.

In 1980, there were multiple cases of gold shares going from single digit cents to hundreds of dollars. Things are much, much worse now. If you own physical, it's likely at some stage that governments will try to confiscate it as they did in the early 70's. Store it personally and for gods sake don't tell the wife where, unless you want lots of new friends!

I think chf will benefit from the money aau put into drilling in Cyprus and vice versa, the y seem to have neighbouring claims so maybe can compare notes...

Sorry for off topic.

Looking at the Q1 2020 preliminaries I make it:

(67,459 oz AG x $70) / 5129 oz AU = $920
