True but as each year progresses and they explore and add to reserves and increase in profits bigger dividends would be on the cards and in a couple of years time so 2% on a 25p is 0.5p and your 18% yield at today's share price and a 9 bagger from here all speculation but look at aaz they went from 7p to now 140p

It's worth sticking pension funds in it for the imminent capital growth !!

Mick this one will be a one off dividend but the hope would be that they could pay at least 2% each year.

On 30000 shares the dividend would be around £112 gross. Think these guys do it for a bit of fund to make a quick 10-20%.

Strange to see these small PI sells when a divi could be so close.

I'd be happy with the .5p dividend.

Think macmather might be on the money, although as I have said previously there must be a lot owed to us from Zenit once the deal is concluded.

I'd prefer slightly lower cos tax implications but wouldn't grumble too much at .5p.

I think KS said in one of the subsequent interviews that the dividend will come from the $5m they'll receive for Salinbas; I don't expect it to be more than this. I'm thinking £0.00375 but no more than a guess.

Edit; biggles, you beat me to it but similar thinking re range.

Kerim said in an interview posted on this board it would be fair to distribute an amount equating to what they receive for salinbas from third party. Ie $5m there may be tax issue but I'm bc expecting 0.3-0.5p . I would also expect the company to formalise what they have previously said ie that the intention is to maintain an ongoing dividend. I'd hope that the dividend declaration is in the new take year this would allow shareprice to grow subsequent to JV confirmed , then another catalyst a few months later when dividend policy announced. In between obviously all positive news relating to financial quarter figs, life of mine , confirmed debt repayment and on it goes.......

I’m assuming $10 mn is distributed to shareholders. I suspect the Directors want a payday, having worked hard for a long time to establish the company. But a key issue is whether AAU is liable to any tax on the proceeds of the transaction. That would affect how much it chooses to distribute. This is important so I’d welcome informed opinion on the matter.

I did not look up which part of the Cyprus they are in. Tukey? If so we get higher part of the 30m as a divi. As they will probably go for the same model - partnership and will not need so much capital.

If Greece part - less.

Anyone?

What are people’s thoughts on the likely percentage of the $30m we’ll receive as a divi? (Assuming all goes well by the end of next month). Looking at our current cash position and current liabilities, I’m thinking this could be anywhere up to $20m. Although, even $5m would be a welcome little bonus.

orm expecting a great week, with the seller out!Mcap of 3 mil can not justify 5.5 mil cash and another asset without debts!Feel Sorry for previous shareholders who got the -70% drop after the sell of tungsten mine, but cash is twice the mcap without debts!

The big players (Institutions and the like) will be very focused on Life of Mine, cost of production, discovery costs, IRR and the size of the resource and in time the reserve. This is how they will value Ariana. Many will have a 10 year life span as a minimum criteria.
Resource ozs times margin (gold price less AISC) gives them a lifetime valuation. With gold hopefully going to $2000 or even $2500, we are going to see so much more activity in this sector including unfortunately lots of M&A activity.
Stand by your beds.

Think it's more to do with the deal closing in. Resource estimate appeals to many long term holders who know the ins and outs but first timers will be attracted by $30 m and all other assets
