That's exactly my point. It's like proving the non-existence of God. Hence the excuses are used so frequently as it is almost impossible to be disproved.

There are two urban myths that can be found on nearly every bulletin board when the share price is stagnant or falling, especially AIM. The first is that there is a large seller in the background; the second is that the Market Makers are playing games.

Not surprisingly, no evidence is usually found to support either of these two propositions.

I've moved on since the results and took a small loss but hey. Found myself a new gold stock as had some info. The company is called Tanzanian Gold Corp (TNX) traded TNX in Toronto Stock Exchange(TSX) which opens 2.30pm - 9pm and in 1 CAD (Canadian Dollar). Worth a look and read about them. I have started a thread under TNX. They joint venture partner with the State Mining Company (STAMICO) to submit an updated mine plan for the Buckreef Gold Project to the Mining Commission in Tanzania. STAMICO, which is 100% owned by the United Republic of Tanzania (the Government). Buckreef gold project will be massive and will see substantial profit for Tanzania gold corp. Though this not the only revenue driver looking forward for this company. Worth a look, and hope this turns back up again.

bb, if major holders are offloading and have been doing so for some time now, perhaps more than a month (based on ongoing comments on this board), then surely they would have raised sufficient cash to meet their short term cash requirements. so, if they are continuing to offload it would suggest its not for cash requirements but that they no longer believe in the growth story here or wish to chase near term profits elsewhere - i find this odd given the big news expected here soon followed by a bumper dividend. is it not therefore more likely that the selling is simply the normal retail trading that occurs in normal course of events?

edit: i suppose it could be large holders if they accumulated their holding more than a year ago, in which case they would be sitting on perhaps 1.5 to 3 bags and may therefore be taking some profits despite the forward outlook here.

Not sure Shareprophets have that much say! You just need to look at amount of buying after it's tipped. This is one or two major holders offloading imho.

This weakness is I am afraid what happens after a share gets tipped as AAU was. The followers buy in raising the share price in the process, and then they take their profits and move on. its a passing phase we have to go through.

No but there is a positive article floating around re Turkey to do everything in its power to increase gold production in the country so further increases likelihood of positive outcome from them

I would put my money on a RNS re Government approval on Tuesday 19th January 2021. I recon MDV's exuberance is due to just getting the approval and they will need Monday to sort the RNS. But I have been wrong in the past!
