08/11/2013 09:26 | UK government dismisses threats over Falkands oil exploration By Jamie Ashcroft Britain has hit back at briefings by Argentine officials that have ramped up tensions over oil exploration off the Falkland Islands. Sources at the Argentine embassy claimed investors backing firms active in this disputed part of the South Atlantic did not fully appreciate the risks they are taking. The exploration campaign began with Rockhopper Exploration (LON:RKH), Desire Petroleum (LON:DES), Argos Resources (LON:ARG), Borders & Southern (LON:BORS) and Falkland Oil & Gas (LON:FOGL). | lucky_punter

05/10/2013 16:47 | Until they actually find oil, ARG is worth 0p.All those talks about 3bn barrels are all idle speculations . | shareho1der
04/10/2013 20:22 | Re reading all the notes on argos's area which is hugh leads me to think that any deal is going to be big, we are not talking about 200m barrel's of oil in the area we are talking about lower scale 3 billion higher scale 10 billion barrels, that is why I think it will be a three way break up involving Premier/rockhopper, noble and argos, I think also that due to the fact that it's such a valuable assett to argos right next to the sealion discovery then behind the scenes they are probably working on with prospective farmees for the drilling of two exploration wells late 2014 into 2015. share price for argos on farm in news will be a minimum doubling to 40p perhaps 50p valuing argos at 100m, but so much prospective oil cheap in my eyes. any thoughts fellow bb members. | theshareguru

14/8/2013 00:11 | Proactive hydrocarbon event will showcase Petroceltic, WesternZagros, Caza Oil & Gas and Argos Resources By Proactive Investors August 09 2013, 5:00pm Argos Resources promises to re-ignite the excitement of exploration in the Falklands, with a burgeoning pipeline of prospects. While on the face of it all has been quiet, Argos has been busily working behind the scenes. In recent months, as Premier Oil and Rockhopper have laboured over the drawing board, putting together their plans to deliver the Falklands first oil, from the Sea Lion field, Argos has outlined new exploration prospects containing an estimated 3bn barrels of recoverable prospective resources. The coming months are likely to see the newsflow move-up a gear as before the firm's maiden exploration campaign can get underway solutions must be found to the not-so-insignificant issues of rig contracting, funding and a possible farm-out. John Hogan, managing director will be presenting investors with insight on how this up and coming explorer is progressing. | topinfo
