20/8/2019 17:37 | snf - as far as i know align research is not a broker. they're just investors who publish their views on shares they invest in according to them this is what they do Align's purpose is two fold - to increase awareness amongst investors of investment opportunities we perceive to have exceptional risk/reward profiles and then to completely align (hence the name) ourselves with existing investors in those companies and any new investor that acts upon our coverage. Unconflicted, completely transparent, 'eat your own cooking' research. which is good - but they are just investors like you and I - with more cash .... i remember asking rich666 where he got the information on divis from and no response came back - although its possible but i wouldn't read too much into it | ![]() liveit2
20/8/2019 17:04 | From the resident muppet: topazfrenzy 20 Aug '19 - 15:28 - 980 of 983 0 1 0 If you want a divi (especially after just being listed for one year) then buy Rio Tinto. From the recent Broker note......... Yield based valuation suggests 107% upside Our forecasts see Argo making a net profit of £4.86 million in 2019, rising to £8.59 million in 2020. We set our first target price for the shares at 14.62p, based on a 2020 dividend payout ratio of 30% and 6% yield. Additional earnings and efficacy based valuations suggest further blue-sky potential. Conviction Buy. | ![]() suffersnofools
20/8/2019 17:00 | Surely the whole point of blockchain is that every transaction is fully recorded in the history of each coin and that history is open and not able to be hidden. That is it's great strength....and, imo, it's great weakness. | ![]() horneblower

20/8/2019 16:46 | Are you actually serious? All bitcoins and fractions of a bitcoin (satoshi) are identical in value and by the nature of the blockchain are of the same provenance wherever they are mined or stored. This is the whole point of crypto, the value is the same the world over, no exchange rates, and no stamps of quality or provenance.Yes people can steal it from you if you are stupid but it cannot be counterfeit or fake! There is no such thing as a dirty Bitcoin. | ![]() hootza616

20/8/2019 14:56 | They've already intimated a divi - as you say that bring in income funds and give a quick re-rate. We'll find out in the results I guess. | ![]() suffersnofools
20/8/2019 14:47 | Argo has a good thing going, up to date mining machines and the cheapest electricity that I know of. Is it just me? Or does anyone else think that it is an environmental disaster we are mining crypto with so much energy? As Warren Buffett once said about gold miners, "if you landed from Mars and saw the vast expense of gold miners digging gold out of the ground - then only to watch the buyers of gold put it back in the ground (safes etc) - you would conclude we are crazy". BTC might be valuable in the future, it might not? But unless we as a company plan to reward shareholders with some of the payout of the monthly mining proceeds then we remain a speculative play rather than a useful income producing share. Other spectacular ramps on AIM, PANR, SOU, Ilika etc All have logical chances of enormous riches - all fail to deliver for one reason or another. I like ARB but we investors need some slices of the pie now - carry on investing in capacity but give us shareholders dividends now as well. | ![]() roddyb
20/8/2019 13:51 | I love the green energy bit in Mike Edwards' statement, important going forward. | ![]() topazfrenzy
20/8/2019 13:38 | Mike Edwards, Executive Chairman of Argo, said: "We are taking another major leap in expanding our mining capacity as the cryptomining industry goes from strength to strength. By 2020, our aim is for Argo to be both the most efficient and the largest publicly listed crypto miner in the world. Our combination of green energy at competitive rates, a world class team and the most efficient hardware positions Argo for the long-term." | ![]() topazfrenzy
