We now know why the price was not weak on the monthly results. They had another RNS up their sleeve which was very positive. This says a lot about the management, but the direction of BTC and the second RNS means this will probably fly, starting tomorrow. I did reduce but still have a reasonable holding here !!!

They are very well positioned now in terms of risk management and their own units

Hopefully the BTC retrace happens overnight and we are back near 15k by morning.The vast majority of BTC holders are now in profit so we should expect some selling pressure.

Arb don't mention power costs for the American facility but this article gives an indication of the type of deals available and how a small drop in power rate can influence breakeven costs. Arb pay $0.03/kWh in Canada.

In a statement on Tuesday, Marathon said that it will co-locate a bitcoin mining facility within Beowulf’s Big Horn Data Hub at its 105-megawatt power station in Hardin, Montana.

The company will pay Beowulf – which builds and operate electric power plants – $0.028 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for the supply of electricity at the facility. This is 38% below Marathon’s aggregate electricity cost for mining and data center management, currently at $0.034/kWh.

Marathon said reduced power costs will also lower its breakeven costs to mine one bitcoin from the existing $7,500 to $4,600.

Based on the current difficulty rate I would estimate the extra 430Petahash would add another 110 bitcoins per month.
Though there is no way to know what the rate will be in Feb.
