Many thanks Zyd except we have two global powers in the US and China that are working against each other in the battle of titans, one which has such an affiliation for all things BtC and the other that wants to destroy it unfortunately...Which the ongoing price action clearly demonstrates!

Take look at the QBT chart, broomstick.
What does the movement YTD tell you the market thinks of all the fantastic progress Jag reads into the recent results and interview?

Be aware that Jag posts about QBT here because he has become an object of ridicule on the unmoderated QBT board.

If you want to know the true trajectory and prospects for QBT, just look at its price chart. It is a hyped mug stock, and even the hype extends only to Sharetalk's QBT board where only ultra bullish posting about QBT is permitted.

Zyd, how much BtC does Mt Gox currently hold hoping to flood the market with because at this rate we could be heading straight back to the 40s and real soon.

QBT on track for commercial revenues in 2024:QBT's 2024 targets: Francesco Gardin joins from Mining Disrupt Conference in Miami27/6/2023"Everybody's very, very interested in our technology...We are adding a couple of new teams, which we havn't announced...We keep on track...We are very confident that our technology is different...proven results in the lab...longer than expected but we are making progress......We announced last year that we are heading for revenues this year [2024]. We still havn't announced the opposite. In the Accounts, one has to be prudent. Any word has to be agreed with the Auditors...[but]...we still havn't announced that we will not generate revenues this year [2024]. So I will make it clear - with all the contracts we have, with all the discussions we have, with all the contacts we have, with the development of our technology, how it performed from in the lab into products, what is next for products - we [are] still on track for this our end goal......We have at least four different Methods...We are not too far from having military spec......We have a team of lawyers in Milan who are actively working to collect as much as they can of the €6 million [Sipiem money]......Our main goal [Upcoming milestones] is for one of these four Methods, to have a product that can be deployed, can be sold; or alternatively, to have IP's or technologies, which are aquired or developed or exploited, with one of these big players in the sector."

BTC at a 4 month low. That can't be doing any good to mining margins.

I was suspicious of the pundit near unanimity that BTC would fly after the halving. If that did not ensure that there would be pre-halving buying and ensure that the halving was in the price ahead of the event, nothing would.

Unfortunately I've come to the conclusion that all things Cryptos are a scam meant for mu_g punters...And it's simply a toy of the sc_um US who like to pu_mp it but then China likes to du_mp it!

...So becareful with all the believing that we're heading for the million dollar mark because the way technology is evolving, it won't be long before something far better supercedes it and its the technology of Blockchain that has the undoubted potential across industry, not this crypto malarkey!

...Ohh by the way, if anyone's interested, I've sold all my holdings of cryptos, namely btC, Solano & Cardano, ohh and pirate chain recently because I just don't trust this big old fra_ud dictated by our dear American friends!

If that is right, it does not bode well for the miners, and especially those with week balance sheets like ARB.

BTC is certainly not being used much as a currency, nor is it particularly cheap or convenient to use for transactions. I doubt it is particularly useful for criminal transactions either, as every transaction leaves a trail, which large denomination cash transactions do not.

As for a store of wealth, I tend to agree with H, that a store of wealth is stable. No asset can at one and the same time be both a reliable store of wealth and a speculative asset.

Moreover, although it is true that supply is limited so that it cannot be debased by new supply (as of course is true of conch shells, or an old edition of any book) there are many iterations of digital assets, all manner of 'coins' and even digital artworks, and more being invented all the time. All that BTC really has to set it apart is that it was the first, and has so far stood the test of time. But a quarter of a century is only the blink of an eye, as time goes.

All very perplexing. I hold some BTC, but my sheet anchor is my holdings of physical gold, silver, platinum, copper, and uranium.

BTC chart could easily be coming to the end of a four month top pattern with a target at the bottom of the long term up channel at $42K, although quite likely it will try one last time to reach $69k first.

It is hard to find a good, long-term bullish story for Krypto. Bitcoin would seem to have failed in all of it's aspirations and become a currency, not as a stable source of wealth, independent of the fiat-banks but a currency for drug laundering, criminality and speculation.

If it had a real use in society it might well continue to increase in value. However, now the banks have taken control of it with their etf's I can only see it going one way.

You clearly do not know how an ETF works, Yump. Your time would be better spent learning how investment vehicles work, rather than in posting.

The ETF through its manager does not influence the price of the underlying asset.Their purchases and sales of BTC depend upon how much of the ETF the market purchases /sells.
