Recently made £50,000 profit off Coinbase shares. What would be a good argument to put it in ARB? Tell me the best fundamentals the company has. I like to get a real investor sentiment feel along side actual research

Absolutely, lawson. Hats off to them, the few real ones I mean.

I don't doubt there will be a string of posts claiming to have bought at rock bottom and got out at the very pinnacle of the spike! Hugely lucrative spread bets too ...

I hope no one here was suckered into QBT by the ramping on Sharetalk's QBT Exploitation board over the past two days.

It spiked up sharply on expectation of an RNS (which was ramped as certain to say that its tech was up and running, and would lead to an immediate quadrupling of the SP, with at least 25 times that to come). Sight of the RNS this morning dropped the share price back to where it was at the end of last week, very likely with further falls to come.

'Sentiment' on the exploitation board has done smart U turn today. Some very unhappy campers there now.

stockhunters - ARB is a miner of bitcoin. Like every other AIM miner the rising price of what you mine has no effect on your operations unless the sale of the product covers your expenses and services your debt.

If you're a gold miner the price of gold could rise 1000% but if the price of gold is not covering your operational costs and servicing your debt the company will eventually go bust.

That is where ARB is. They have debt and their mining operations have been adversely impacted as per the RNS 05/03/24. That's why the all time high price of bitcoin has no effect on the share price of ARB.

The next reappraisal will happen when they report operations for March 24 which won't be until early April 24.

Furthermore I suspect they are also forward selling the next discount placing.

I doubt it munin.

We have not heard from LC for a while, but after going overboard on ARB's prospects (and presumably getting his fingers burned) he has talked a good deal of sense about QBT. So that rather puts him out of the running.

As for Sniffer, he has been totally eclipsed in the fantasy expectations stakes by Sharetalk and his 3 toadies. Their '1p to £20+ before the year end' predictions for QBT (no product, no revenue, burning cash) make Sniffer's 36 quid prediction for ARB (which did have a revenue producing business and a USP in the Texas facility which was inspired and could have been a success if rolled out with even a modicum of commercial acumen) look almost sane by comparison!

Buffet of course is a realist, and steers clear of nut jobs. He also likes businesses which are profitable and which he can understand ,and which could be successfully run by a fool, because sooner or later every business is. So he will not be in the running for a consortium with LC, and especially not with Sniffer, to take over any business, and especially not QBT.

So that only leaves a possible team of Sharetalk and Sniffer. As I say,I don't think Sniffer could live with being made to look like an over-cautious wet hen by Sharetalk when future profits and value come up for discussion. He is too vain to play second fiddle in the fantasy stakes.

Also it has to be kept in mind that they are both totally humourless, egotistical, and arrogant. Put the two 'Great Moderators' together and they would be at each others throats.

Its a shame though. I would love to watch (from the windward side) the two of them taking urns on the thunder box and vying to outdo each others predictions.

Finding a solicitor bent enough to sign off the legals in the takeover prospectus, and a banker stupid enough to put up the money would be a problem too. Though if Fred the Shred is back in business .... And if they went for a US listing, if Fani Willis and her paramour are looking for new jobs they would attend to the legal side without excessive regard for truth and accuracy, provided they were paid cash in hand....

Perhaps a Sharetalk-Sniffer QBT takeover consortium does have possibilities after all.

They could style themselves 'the QBT SS'. Very fitting for two such brutal moderators.
