Bitcoin is on the move and ARBK - ARB is yet to move. |
ARB have not mined "BTC" they mined "BTC Equivlents",
Anyone want BTC fakes?
You may be able to sell back to morons and convert to actuall BTC but is like mining sand to find pebble. No sense IMO
Not me.
Just buy the real Bitcoin.

Fair point, Zyde, but that is not unique to BTC amongst cryptos. |
Instant international portability is the other major significant quality of BTC |
BTC seems to have met significant resistance at %100K. It is a round figure which has been predicted for a couple of years.
Gold and silver have stalled too.
It is probably a good sign that none of gold, silver or BTC seems to attracting much 'even the sky is no limit' hype and FOMO. A period of consolidation estabishing a new base ought to be healthy.
The acid test for BTC would be a major pull back in big tech. Historically, BTC has shown more correlation with big tech than anything else.
In the longer term, with the advances in AI and blockchain applications, the big question for me is whether the focus moves from BTC to other cryptos with more 'usefulness'. BTC is not well suited to use as a currency (too volatile, and not particularly convenient or economical to use for purchases). it is a speculative asset rather than a store of value. As an investment, it is at present more akin to Pokemon cards than land or gold.
Its most significant attributes are limited supply and (comparatively, in crypto terms) longevity and brand recognition: to most of the world BTC means crypto, just as 'hoover' came to mean vacuum cleaner. It needs to retains that status as the 'real' 'forever' crypto if it is to become the new gold, relied on as a long term store of value rather than a passing speculative (albeit lucrative) novelty like Pokemon cards. It will probably take at least a generation before we can be sure of the answer to that. Put it another way. Many would be confident to lock up cash in BTC for 5 years, but how many would be willing to do so for 50 or 100 years? Nothing can truly be regarded as a safe store of value unless you are confident that it is at least as enduring as the house you live in. |
Isee there is a Tyke68 posting on the LSE QBT board. Any relation to our Tyke? |
Very best wishes for Christmas and the New Year to one and all. |
101 or LOL in binary. |
If you think that's bad, I was the inventor of a special antifouling fibre wrap, an environmentally friendly alternative to toxic paints on ships and marine structures. Algae, barnacles and mussels just slide off it, saving boats up to 40% on their fuel consumption. However at the time I had a hitman on my trail hired by someone very high up in the illuminati who was trying to stop me filling the plans. Unfortunately I had my drink poisoned while in a restaurant, yes I had the plans on me and as I fell unconscious someone stole the plans. I am kicking myself!!! |
The whales appear to have done it again acting together dumping Bitcoin and waiting for a further fall before buying back in again. |
Not long before the fat lady sings a requiem. |
GRAHAMYTRAIN,
"Looking like the slow but inevitable demise of this dog…..just needs a placing call to finish it off."
We still await the publication of the prospectus to support the 2 Dec placing:
I'm sceptical if that's even possible as I don't see how the prospectus will be able to show adequate working capital for the following twelve months?

It is far easier to decide whether to characterise a price movement as a wave or a mere wiggle when applying hindsight in order to rationalise a chart so as to make it fit the pre-ordained pattern than it is to make predictions by extrapolating forward from past price movements. Even Tyke ultimately admitted that chart reading to see the wave pattern is highly subjective, and he took care never to post a chart marked up to show his wave analysis.
Anyhow, I hope all is well with Tyke and that he was well loaded up with BTC. I sincerely hope he did not short gold on the faith of his many times repeated assertion that it was going to zero. |
In hindsight he was 20:20.In foresight not so much |
I hope Super Tyke is okay. Not seen him on here for a while, but he was pretty much spot on, with regard to the BTC price movements. |
Nothing at all. So why ask?
wtf. |
What does ARB have anthing to do with mining or holding Bitcoin. "real Bitcon",
I think I flagged it a long time back.

Btc going back to 100k by the look of it. It should bounce from there imo. |
Can you see the inverse correlation between the ARB and BTC prices? Have you taken a look at the ARB bond price recently? What conclusions do you draw? |
