Hi 7rademark,

These things can't actually be estimated by 'linear extrapolation' from charts.
There is a way to actually estimate the top of the next wave but it doesn't involve linear extrapolation. I'll probably cover it next week once I'm satisfied this 4th wave is over...which I actually think it is.
On a different topic, I note you are involved with TRD. I'm a holder there too.

Due to the recent extreme volatility, and in order to prioritise the service we give our existing clients, we are not allowing any new positions to be opened on the US stocks GameStop and AMC Entertainment..These restrictions apply to all IG accounts, and will be reviewed regularly. You will still be able to close any open positions that you have in these stocks. Any orders that you have already placed on these two stocks will remain..In addition, if you have any spread betting or CFD positions open on either stock, please be aware that the margin required to keep them open will increase to that listed below from 4pm (UK time) on Monday 1 February. Please ensure that you have enough money on your account to cover the margin requirement..StockNew marginAMC Entertainment Holdings Inc100%GameStop Corp100%

Totally agree I much prefer buy and sell zones The TA tend to get bullish on rises and bearish on fallsI buy low sellHigh and rinse and repeat I have my buy orders ready at 30k to 32k as the musk euphoria fades I turned 5k in 1990 into many millions today on back of fundamental analysis and buying low when no one wants and selling high when the technical analysts are uber bullish I'm here to help Good luck Ollie

In Jan 2017 that move retraced 35pc back to 750 before going parabolic a month or so later. Jan 2021 42k to 29k so far. 35pc would be 27250 ;)By June 2017 the price was 3k. The same increase in 2021 would give BTC 107500

I think 42k is the equivalent to the 1150 spike in January 2017. Wasn't looking like much of a spike a few weeks/months later.

I look at some of the underperformers in my portfolio and starting to wonder whether to convert them to ARB/ BTC. I cannot see many companies out there that look like they can certainly move 100% from current levels.

I'm actually just buying more [Bitcoin]... I have no interest in ever selling my Bitcoin for dollars. Why would I take the currency of the future and sell it for the currency of the past?. hTTps://cointelegraph.com/news/btc-billionaire-tim-draper-to-elon-musk-i-d-buy-the-tesla-cybertruck-with-bitcoin.Buy and Hold

Anyone any views on how the 2017 spike compares to the spike to 42k$, 2017 looks like a more immediate fall back where today we seem to be consolidating, difficult to see on the advfn charts.

Do you have a TradingView account?I'll put together an EW chart and a few other bits when I get back in front of screens on Monday.BTC I have trend-line support from the recent low on the hourly around 33500. Top of channel 35100. Maybe bounce around in there for a while. If not retrace while Elon 'news' back to to 32200 ;) Of course TA would dictate a 100pc retrace of the news.

Yes, as expected, btc did indeed fall lower overnight, reaching a low of 32.8k
The elliott count still showing potential for a visit closer to 32k, at least until 35.4 is breached.
SNF...I haven't managed to look at the thread on computer yet so haven't seen any charts. But, I agree, nine out of ten elliott charts one sees on-line don't even follow the elliott rules ! I have even seen charts from fingers in the past with obvious errors in them.
There should be a main count...and an alternate count,
With probabilities assigned.
