12/1/2011 08:43 | blimey, she's moving fast. | induna123
12/1/2011 08:38 | who is it? has this bottomed now? | moreforus
12/1/2011 08:38 | Although they are only relatively modest buys, there has been a little bit of buying over the last 3 days. | george57
15/12/2010 12:12 | Thanks George, I'll give them a call. | ham28
15/12/2010 11:59 | Hello Ham, No idea mate, you can buy no trouble with TDW at 0.18p. Scott was saying that liquidity is easing, remains a pure punt of course, but for the sake of a few hundred quid it is worth the gamble to me. | george57
15/12/2010 10:53 | Hi George, been trying to buy a few here since you mentioned it a while back over at pinn but can't seems to get an online quote every time I try to buy with Barclays. Any idea why that is? | ham28
11/12/2010 00:03 | I am a long term holder since I worked for Arcontech a few years ago and introduced into them the original idea that they should create a CFD and spread betting platform. I parted company with them a year later, and as far as I am aware there have been no further sales of the AXE platform since I was there. My history is in helping to start both Finspreads and WorldSpreads, and now I've installed a new platform into SportsSpread in Dublin. Arcontech recently attempted to replace my system in Dublin, about 10 days after it went live: not how to win support. Realistically, how can banks seriously use Linux to process transactional data when it is open source and cannot be viewed as secure ? As for Arcontech wasting time and resources creating a speculative version of their software to run in this environment then it's either a very clever move, or a total waste of time, and I know which one I think it is. And in reference to selling at 0.3p, then let's see the price get back over the 1.0 level and then some us will see a positive return, but right now, selling a few is good for offsetting CGT gains. | sjcsystems
10/12/2010 19:12 | So why didn't you sell when they were well over 0.3p steelwatch? I wrote on the PINN board that I am quite prepared to lose my money here, but I don't think I will. What I have in ARC is trifles, but I am simply gambling that the October RNS just might get a result. If it does I might make a few quid, if it doesn't I will be joining the other long termers here, that will be you steelwatch, because I don't see anyone else.. | george57
10/12/2010 18:47 | Well, I thought so too in Feb '09. Still waiting .............. | steelwatch
10/12/2010 16:26 | steelwatch. I am certainly not ramping ARC, I have stuck a few quid in and have simply given the reasons why, being negative about a stock you are invested in doesn't seem a good idea to me. Because its your thread, you say who is allowed to post and who isn't, however I would suggest you reconsider your decision and allow Scott to post here, it might even prove beneficial to get the ARC story out to a wider audience, he is a far better writer than me, and at the moment I'm talking to myself. | george57
10/12/2010 15:21 | A couple of silly little buys gone in and ARC ticks up, if anyone was to stick even £500 in on a gamble it could move up again. In the October RNS, it would seem that if ARC can get the user acceptance testing approved, it could realistically turn the company round and could also lead to some half decent orders. | george57
10/12/2010 14:46 | Steelwatch, Can you remove the ban from Scott please, ARC could do with anyones help in promoting it. TIA. | george57
10/12/2010 14:33 | From the October 27th RNS, Banks Trial Arcontech's CityVision for Linux "Arcontech, the real-time market data technology specialist has today announced the Linux version of its CityVision market data distribution and vendor contribution platform. The new version has completed rigorous internal tests and is currently being installed for user acceptance testing". It shouldn't be too long before there is some sort of decision regarding acceptance. Its been 6 weeks. I've stuck a few quid in over the past couple of days anyway, a pure bet that could just pay off. | george57
10/12/2010 14:15 | Interesting comments from the CEO in the Late October RNS, Andrew Miller added: "We're seeing strong interest in Linux deployments with several new contracts dependent on its availability. This is another example of us staying ahead of the competition in terms of features, reliability, availability and flexibility." | george57
10/12/2010 13:43 | Now all the "chaps" have bailed out, this might just be worth a little gamble, it would take very little buying to get past 0.2p. | george57
09/12/2010 12:38 | @steelwatch: Well you'd have to sell quite a few of these to get more than a yo-yo for Christmas, which just about sums up the ebb and flow of Arcontech's share price really. | sjcsystems
08/12/2010 11:24 | Just a guess - Christmas spending money? | steelwatch
08/12/2010 10:49 | No idea, looks like I'm gonna be a long-term holder...news needed badly. | jonno1
07/12/2010 17:50 | Well at this rate, I'll be able to sell one or two of these and remove my CGT liability... Anyone have any ideas why they are sliding downwards again ? | sjcsystems
29/11/2010 12:27 | Is this you pumping this Comedy? | jonno1 |
