Btw, that ceo is a typical oil man, who runs the business like a fiefdom. I just hope he lets the potential come to fruition, and not go off buying and disposing assets.

He has a very powerful personality. Which reminds me of the early days of Premier Oil! Where the ceo there, had vision and daring, but never got to the target because of impatience. I can’t remember his name, it’s going back some 50 ish years!

My first 3 shares where, Premier, Charterhall oil and Ward holdings, a Kent builder. 😂 one still exists!

There’s probably a great many who are not aware of the potential at aoi, especially here in the UK. IE, a lot of slack?

But there’s quite a lot riding on the Venus drill, while waiting for return of capital from prime investment.

in fact its 15% insiders (almost certainly lundin grp) and 9% mutual funds

highest is fidelity and their top is 3% ish, with few other fidelity funds maybe getting to total 8%

that could really do with improving, so really its tons of private investors pushing this

oh well, their loss

at current price 2.13, we are, from 2 sources, mkt cap 1.01 billion CAD

Fec not dragging cgx in its wake, strange, because I think both are joined at the hip and relying greatly on Kawa 1. Im certainly not in fec for its Columbian assets….although they do act as a bit of a backstop!

so to get to $3 canadian, will be either 1 of 2 things....

1. continued great prime divs, in which case will be next year at some point

2. need one of the higher impact (no pun) bits of news, venus, kenya, acquisition (dont always go down that well though......)

* a pretty high dividend that sets us above 10% yield would also maybe do it


must be nice sitting there in canada being keith hill, so many levers to pull these days...

well, for a 9.99 fee compared to my £4 its prob worth it......somehow

its bizarre though......

swedes pushed it much higher, now back to 3 ish percent, canadians usually get hold of it....so we'll see

never quite understand these results rises, the results are pretty much well known.....but maybe because of no nasty stuff who knows.

i remember the deal back in 2016, but thought they had to get to the FID in a certain timeframe, but not that sure

i'll ask the swedes on fbook about it, would really be the cherry on the cake if still in existence

though keith hasnt mentioned it for ages, butb then they dont ever talk in detail about kenya these days, think that will change real soon....
