and acquisitions are still on, even maybe close, which really surprises me, as keith has said they only buy at 50 dollar oil in case of an oil slide (which wont happen)

so assets at 50 bucks ???? if he can, amazing.....

oh, and up over 6% in sweden so all very good

dont worry, the div stuff will be in year / end q4

this is now what i really like, perfect long time income hold with maturing projects adding great value, plus exploration

so they have everything, the short (nigeria), medium (kenya, SA (aec)) and longer term (venus hopefully)

still have 0 interest in guyana

ray,

it was just third quarter results, so think you did expect too much, for sure

good results, my only main question which i will look into is why they keep reporting 20 odd million corporate debt, and then net cash position which is positive, these 2 are inconsistent, or maybe its backward looking for what was......but cant be both really

either way, and the 2 strategic updates are on track and great, as well as venus, so its as expected and bit more

never any negatives, they just dont disappoint

Perhaps I was a bit hasty..but I did expect a little bit more?

Therefore, I am confident that we can deliver on two strategic goals; the acquisition of accretive producing assets and implementing shareholder capital return programs. The Africa Oil team is working hard on both fronts and in relation to shareholder returns, we are finalizing the management plans that will be considered by the board of directors in December. I expect to update the markets once we have the board approved plan by end of this year. "

Right, breakfast!

No mention of, or prospects for payment of dividend that I could find. December perhaps?

Disappointing and not good for the share price short term?

Kenya needs major funding too, who’s going to take that on?

well, its really only income so just dont think it can be bad at all

regardless, we are both in early enough to not worry about a drop either way

pretty sure i know exactly what he will say, .....nigerian fields continue to deliver strong performance...etc

its the extras that will push the price higher or lower, not sure whether he will say anything extra, though fully expect to add onto the above statement .....allows the possibility of divs/buyback

Trouble with this market, a little progress in the sp, not just here, and punters take skin off the game. No confidence anywhere.

correct, prime divs always seperate, which is good as news flow keeps going and we always need it

will just if anything confirm once again incredibly strong cash flows

i think will close around 2.10 and tomorrow on results 2.20, my best slightly biased guess

Well, I can’t see Kenya being a rewarding situation yet at least.

And don’t they let us know when they receive anything via prime, separately from the quarterly’s? Or will it get a mench this quarter?

Russia oil chief states that hydrocarbons/energy cost are do some considerable price increases. Telegraph source……..

Rosneft boss warns of new ‘super cycle’ in fuel prices
Rachel MillardJames Warrington
THE boss of Russia’s state-backed oil company has warned of long-term higher global energy prices, adding to inflation fears as the cost of petrol hit record levels.

Igor Sechin, chief executive of Rosneft, said global oil and gas markets may be in line for a new “super cycle” – a sustained period of higher prices, as demand outstrips supply.
