I prefer CURY as well over AO , CURY well known name in market , pays dividends & buying back shares .. when AO will pay dividends or buy back shares & no more placing then i know it's strength , support it but meantime I will stick with CURY https://www.eurogamer.net/early-currys-black-friday-deals-2022

They can certainly sell items it’s the making profit they struggle with, placings and losses since flotation have exceeded profits over the last eight years and look set to continue, maybe the share price will rise markets love a loss maker

Been around a long time and every time there has been talk of recession people have still spent on electricals at Christmas.

Prefer Currys but still think these should benefit if thats the case.

2nd half of the year is the most profitable. A decent world cup and then Christmas may help to see profit predicted

Misinformation and disinformation.

Likely to pop further in next few days.

Your right it could be £2m a week just reading through those notes in the accounts state only £24m left of revolving credit and if that’s the case based on the £1m per week that only leaves 24 weeks any thoughts?

Results better than forecast which is always good. But I never really trust adjusted EBITDA as that’s so easily to manipulate and of course it’s now in a period of contraction with the closure of the German business. The heady days of 300p aren’t going to return anytime soon.

I’ll keep this on my watchlist, hope it does well, did a good job with replacing my washing machine.

Very positive results.

Guided at top end of concensus.

Looking strong.

Both UPGS and Currys UP 30% or more since their results. Bodes well for AO.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

Black horse can't see what you wrote because you are filtered. But even then I reckon its something about Currys being amazing and AO being bad.

Both Curry's and UPGS have seen their share price rise enormously recently:-

Curry's have gone from 55p in early October to 83p today + 50%

UPGS have gone from 90p to 145p in last two weeks + 60%

Good to keep an eye on sector peer group.

Bodes well for AO

No position - but the worst time to be short is when everyone else is and there are no longs. Few shorts and an overweight fund makes for a much more pleasant environment. Tactically the substantial raise in July should see them OK for cash for the time being, and price hasn't moved much since then so there is no dramatic anomaly that justifies a position at this time.
