1347: that’s nice of Mr. Manclark, what?

Negan: well, most of the cash that Anguish received in the December placing seems to have come from Aleph and its associates. Will they be willing/able to stump up more and can they do so without breaching the 30% shareholding milestone? The only value to Mercuria in keeping these bozos in port is the bozos’ ability to raise cash from the equity market, which is free money as far as Mercuria are concerned. If Anguish’s NomAd and broker decide they can’t squeeze any more money out of the market for another placing, it will be time for Mercuria to exercise the Charge terms. If the sidetrack carries on much longer and/or fails, will investors want to bet another £5-8mm on another? There must be a limit, surely? I’m sure they’re going very slowly and surely in this second drilling attempt but the bills are piling up.

But this is AIM. I still think it’s quite likely that in a week or two they’ll announce that they've found gas. Up will go the share price. Slapped will be the mutton chops of the grey crayon eaters. Fleeced will be the mug punters in a placing. Then back we go as the gas doesn’t flow enough to be usable. Same old same old, as 1347 is fond of putting it. I doubt even then that they’ll have enough cash for another sidetrack attempt. Just enough to meet the higher (5.75mmscfd) hedge requirement in a 28-day month and maybe meet the due part of the terms of the July/August forward contract terms deferrals. Then there’s the report and accounts in mid-March. Anguish need this sidetrack to flow commercial quantities of gas. That would hugely change the equation.

JT I suspect there may be a gentlemans's agreement on when they will convert, I suspect the intention was to pay it off in cash on the assumption they would be doing 10 mmscf/d and be able to do so, that may no longer be possible. Also have a stack load of fresh Warrants milling around now.

Negan: if Anguish go bust, I’d expect Mercuria to take over Poundland (and the other assets), keep the site management staff and come to an arrangement with Shell to sell to the latter the Poundland field for storage once the (commercial) gas runs out. Anguish can’t do that unless Mercuria allows it - the Charge precludes it. I think the oil “assets” are irrelevant, Anguish can’t sell them without Mercuria’s approval either, and who would want them? Selling the gas field to Shell would transfer the theoretical abandonment liability.

Anguish must just have received an invoice re the January forward contract and whatever deferred sum they agreed last August. I dare say this comes via Law Debenture, who control the Anguish bank accounts.

The interest charge on the £12mm loan they didn’t need appears to be about to rise to 16% p.a. That’s another £60,000 per year if the £12mm has not been partially repaid. . The shareholders are the only recourse, aren't they? Look out for that p&d.

1347: as I understand it, Knowe can convert at 0.65p at any time. Why do you think they haven’t done so?

Letsbuy1. Yes. Massive gas reserves. Getting the rest of the gas out is a different matter. SFB was not abandoned and ANGS werw given a £2.5 million sweetener to get SFB off thier hands for nothing what, what?

Now with all of the additional works Angus-Energy have undertaken then surely the abandonment costs have increased?

If Angs go bust if the sidetrack fails and GL is unable to keep raising funds what will be the new abandonment coats? Food for thought?
