Speaking to my oil trader friend last night he was telling me how things are just now. He was working for a Russian company in Switzerland but is moving to the Middle East. The Russians were still happily selling oil when he left. The trade just now is sell Russian oil to Saudi at a slight discount and then the Saudis sell more of their output to the west at a mark up. I still struggle to understand the West's self immolating policy on oil and gas unless the objective is to push their citizens into fuel poverty.

With Vej coming into production this month, Zafer next year and Gilar presumably not far behind (more info on that would be good) and the work on increasing capacity scheduled for H2 next year I would hope the company could consider giving us a 3 year plan with production estimates included. Anyone feel they could have a guesstimate at 24 production or do we not know enough yet?It feels that the tanker has turned, is pointing in the right direction, and is starting to accelerate

Bumpa, I have had that thought! But the CFO is extremely confident that PXC will be producing copper next year so not long to find out...

Hey Donald, maybe have a word with TRR and see if they wanna chuck some of that cash into Idaho copper assets light years away from producing anything?

If ARB are that desperate for cash they could raid NFT’s piggy bank - they raised £35m and can’t have burnt through all that buying digital monkey NFT’s surely?

ARB has been hammered for ages now, so anyone still in was gambling. Noticed some of the oilers getting a good smack down of late.

Yes, let me be clear. My assumptions that the mineralisation could extend further (based on the diagrams in the RNS) were then confirmed later in the day by Steve.

Copper on a roll with the DXY softening at 104, if it dips into the 103s we will see USD4/lb Copper again..

FED and MPC rate decisions next week will dictate the FX but I can see a DXY 100 coming down the pipe if US rate rises slow and UK rates close the gap, currently 3% vs 4%..

We are in the right space with Gold/Copper/Silver, and the new addition of Zinc..

Just above what you've quoted on the geophysics programmes, there are 3 "Notes" comments, pertaining to the 6 selected assays in table 1.

Note iii states:
"True thickness of mineralised intercepts is underdetermined"

"UNDERdetermined" implies that the intercepts extend further than the assays reveal.

This supports what JB and Matt have posted above - a few posts now - about this mineralised zone [there are at least 2] extending both deeper and broader [Westwards].

The planned access tunnel will facilitate underground drilling:
"....the next stage of work, which will include inclined drilling to test certain areas for mineral extension and structural geology interpretation."

From the earlier RNS 2Nov22 on the new mines [Gilar]:
"The development of an exploration tunnel to access the mineralisation, which can also be used for production, is planned to commence in November 2022."

Maybe the very first Gilar production is going to be on a small scale, in 2023, from where the access tunnel penetrates the main mineralised zone and then the successive exploration passages and chambers within?

fwliw, i expect that what is happening in Vejnaly is something akin to this.
The Q4 and Q1 production will be small scale, from the development phase; the main production to follow on.
There is a rolling and overlapping process of exploration/development ongoing there. Surface drilling will become more extensive as the area becomes comprehensively de-mined.

Further to your post 55036

From the RNS- " Field acquisition of data from a ground magnetics geophysics programme is complete and is currently being interpreted. Additional induced polarisation (IP) geophysics is underway over the deposit itself and adjacent areas to test for extensions of the open mineralisation."

Looking good for the resource being even bigger....They do appear keen and cracking on.....Fingers crossed

This report from Blackrock makes gloomy reading. Stocks that require capital to get started or continue may find it very difficult. AAZ seems like a safe place, for now.

"Finally, Bloomberg notes that concerns over a global recession may be rekindling haven demand, with gold starting to rise against crude oil, which has stalled on the possibility that demand will weaken as economies waver.
The gold-to-crude ratio could favour bullion in 2023, particularly if the global economy continues to deteriorate and central banks ditch campaigns to tighten monetary policy, Mike McGlone, a senior macro strategist at Bloomberg Intelligence, said in a note Wednesday."

August 2021: Gedabek Exploration Activities & Results

"Seventeen surface DD holes were completed around over the Gilar district during H1 2021 (for 4,284.0m), to commence the initial drill programme."

Today's RNS:

"A total of 118 surface core drill holes have been completed for 32,823 metres over the Gilar deposit."

That's 28,500m of drilling at Gilar alone over the last 16 months, quite apart from all the other works they have in-hand.

They are clearly excited about this one & have done incredibly well to date, particularly given it's only been vertical drilling to date & the target is quite deep.
No wonder they want to get underground asap & do inclined drilling & likely deeper drilling - it appears they have not yet defined the full extent of the ore body as mineralisation remains open.

They took all of us by surprise with the speed they got Ugur into production after it was first discovered & I'm not putting it past them to do same now with Gilar.

Fantastic ongoing effort by all in the company & every indication there is more to come. Hats off chaps.

Plug is being pulled on many fronts.

Seems most are in survival mode.

AAZ chart as think it speaks volumes as to where we are in the markets.

Let's say positive but hesitant.

Charts never lie.

Thanks Wan re: PANR - I love the mkts ever present affirmation that large swathes of it are a sociopaths playground.

Or is it psychopaths?

One bunch has a conscience, the other doesn’t.

Moot point really.

Some information
The plan to drill deeper still from underground is due to cost. The deepest holes on Gilar are now costing c.$50k so it makes sense to drill deeper once underground.
Yes it is anticipated the ore body might well extend laterally and that will also be explored. The best models have it extend westwards.
Ultimately the creation of tunnelling will enable us to bring out mineralisation for processing which will more than cover the drilling and development cost whilst creating the infrastructure for a new mine.

Lefrene -whilst I partially agree with KS I do think even this market would reward potentia if it was understood better. I suspect if each of the contract areas was syphoned off into different companies and marketed as a fantastic exploration potential/producer/soon to be producer (depending on which area) then the sum of the parts would be far greater than the current Market Cap.

It struck me about how unclear the message is when todays RNS hit and I had no clue at first where the drilling area was. There is an embarrassment of riches to go at but the investment case is only compelling if people know about it & understand how/when it will be monetised.

To many, AAZ is a closed company, with a poor geo political profile, with a depleting resource & talk about some potential news places to explore but no real understanding of if they are feasible, when they will come on stream & how much it will cost to bring them on.

I plan to refresh myself on the areas & news we already have to try and make it clearer in my own head because at present even as an investor of several years the situation has become a bit confused to me. I trust that it will come good as (whilst recognising the weaknesses) I believe the company is in good hands and the prospective areas are good but I couldn't tell you where we are due to produce from, when & certainly not estimates of how much. To attract new investors (& thus increase the share price) maybe this needs to be a bit clearer.
