08/12/2022 08:14 | JB "Flotation first to remove the copper, then AL to get the gold. Otherwise that copper will send reagent costs up a lot at the AL plant" Makes perfect sense. Could it also be that, seeing this will be by underground extraction, lots of passages, some/much of the gold can be selectively extracted such that the copper% is quite low and trundle directly into the AL plant? Looking at the sub-samples, this seems a distinct possibility. A few there like: 3.00m 'thick' 4.29g/t gold 0.08% copper 0.02% zinc | 2sporrans
08/12/2022 08:08 | Excellent drill results but I suspect the market will treat this news will go like all the other drill results, consigned to history. Remember the bonanza gold grade news, the $3bn of copper news. Hope I wrong, market just wants to see profit!! | katsy
08/12/2022 08:06 | the way they report drilling over at SHG they love to maximise grades by including (sub-)intervals as little as 60cm for example. are there any rules or guidelines or is just a little creative licence ? | cordwainer
08/12/2022 07:58 | Share price start looking like 89p? Back to the 90's today hopefully Those were the days :) | jeanesy
08/12/2022 07:54 | A lot depends on how and where they drill the tunnel. If the ground is solid enough and the topography suitable a shallow sloping tunnel with a conveyor belt could take the ore quite a way to the processing plantIt is very exciting news, no disputing it | donald pond
08/12/2022 07:53 | Looka like excellent results from Gilar drill. Very nice grades and thick too. Lets hope it is easy to access and not too expensive. What will mr market make of them lol :) | jeanesy
08/12/2022 07:52 | Agreed LLB Hopefully Gilar, Vejnaly and Gosha will come up with enough higher grade gold of suitable qualities to keep the dore production via the AL plant at or above this year's for several more to come and at tolerably low costs. Could be a good few more years left in Gedabek-Gadir underground after the main open pit is exhausted which won't be long away. Bear in mind these latest good assays are ADDITIONAL to a fair number of other good ones previously. All 6 are good; even the meanest one is decent: 22GLDD97 38.00m 'thick' 0.86g/t gold 0.36% copper 1.00% zinc For a runt, that's pretty good. 4 of the 6 look really good to me, especially from a gold perspective and AL/dore feed in mind. Knocking around 50m 'thick' continuous av. of over 2g/t gold. | 2sporrans
08/12/2022 07:51 | .. conceding that the headline grades are less than half the overall economics I withdraw my 'expertise' lol. Appreciate you guys making my glass half full rather than half empty. | cordwainer
08/12/2022 07:39 | I doubt the capex for this alone is significant 1hercule. It’ll be processed through the existing plant. So it’s a few million for more underground equipment and for the associated drive to depth. Matt and I were talking yesterday and were musing about the processing plant. I said I presume they’ll be moving back to in series processing rather than in parallel. This ore, a high copper high gold ore is entirely the sort of ore that’ll need in series. Flotation first to remove the copper, then AL to get the gold. Otherwise that copper will send reagent costs up a lot at the AL plant | jbravo2
08/12/2022 07:37 | #1Hercule, quite likely as we do have a lot to be going on with now, on CAPEX, if we said no more than Zafer to get into it, that should be on the safe side, but the plant to deal with it is already budgeted for.. :o) | laurence llewelyn binliner
08/12/2022 07:31 | Good morning all, Cheers Wan :-)AAZ :-) :-) :-) | wanobi
08/12/2022 07:30 | Any ideas on the capex for this? Maybe thats why they didnt do the buybacks. | 1hercule
08/12/2022 07:28 | #3Sporrons, roll on the JORC indeed, if the ore body is half of Zafer and 4 times the grade that will be fantastic, we are already expanding the flotation side of the plant to accommodate the additional Copper/Zinc ores..This underpins the feed stock to the plant which is currently booked for 6/7 years for Zafer, and some blending will further raise the Copper/Zinc outputs.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
08/12/2022 07:28 | Cant you use a vpn Canalet? BTW good news at AAZ this morning | 1hercule
08/12/2022 07:28 | :D Cordwainer - that well known drilling expert. Anyone who’s been in gold producers any length of time knows they’re good | jbravo2
08/12/2022 07:25 | Not sure where cordwainer is coming from as they look impressive to me. Perhaps you could explain Cordwainer? | 1hercule
08/12/2022 07:22 | Wow That’s a lotta gold | jbravo2
08/12/2022 07:18 | Best news all year, this on Gilar [other than ratification i guess] " Stephen Westhead, Vice-President of Anglo Asian, commented: "The extensive mineral zone thickness, continuity and grade of the recent drill intersections mean that Gilar can now be considered of high potential to provide significant gold and copper production. We are currently in the process of planning our approach to gaining underground access for exploration and drilling, and I look forward to updating you on our progress in the coming weeks." Gilar has what Avshancli sorely lacked: "thick" bore samples of high/good grades. A1 was enticing in that there were several high grade gold assays, very near to surface too. Sadly a dud as A1 was just a crust; it was pancake thin. Gilar is quite deep underground [well, the part of it the rNS is focused on] but the tunnel access looks to be good. 60m long intersections of good grade gold/copper indicate it may be quite a big ore body. Maybe half the size of Zafar? Far higher grades of gold though and hence a fair bit more in total? Not like we really need more copper though more good grade welcome. Roll on the JORC | 2sporrans
08/12/2022 07:13 | 8 December 2022 Anglo Asian Mining PLC Significant mineralisation in Gilar drill results Results advance development schedule for the Gilar Mine Anglo Asian Mining PLC ("Anglo Asian" or the "Company"), the AIM listed gold, copper and silver producer focused in Azerbaijan, is pleased to announce drill results at the Gilar deposit confirming over 60 metres of thick and continuous gold and copper mineralisation. The results derive from the final stage of the first phase of vertical core drilling at Gilar. The drilling has demarcated six zones of mineralisation with the latest drilling defining a deeper zone of continuous mineralisation hosting significant gold, copper and zinc values. Given the continuity and grade of the latest drillhole mineral intercepts, as well as the depth of the mineral zone, a project for underground access with a tunnel suitable for production as well as additional exploration, is being planned. | bountyhunter
08/12/2022 07:11 | 67m at 2% gold and 1.58% copper and zinc is excellent. Depth is a little more than you might hope but the continuity of the mineralised zone means it's easy to get at once the tunnel is in place. It's very good news, no doubt about it | donald pond
08/12/2022 07:10 | #Cordwainer, really..? 50/60 metres of 2% Copper you know Zafer is 0.5% Copper right, so just 4 times the grade.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
08/12/2022 07:07 | not spectacular imho. | cordwainer
08/12/2022 07:03 | RNS - significant mineralisation found at Gilar... :o) | laurence llewelyn binliner
07/12/2022 23:16 | What's the deal with MEAL, huge daily swings I see, people trading that must be doing well if catching it right. I thought that one was delisting! | katsy
07/12/2022 20:09 | unsurprisingly, China now confirmed as the recent whale in the Gold market. Given their still small holding v USA (even Italy holds more Gold than China 'officially admits to), i believe $1,800 looking like the new floor | mattjos |
