All logic suggests a pullback, unless one of the suspects is trying to close their short position in which case the fun may have a long way to go. But I agree with Matt, whatever the short term gyrations it is hard to see good as anything other than materially higher in coming months. Gold bull markets last 6-8 years and see rises of at least 200%. We are only a third of the way in

Bet they are glad they didn’t hedge now, was prudent before now I’m not so sure but I reckon they’ll be an attempt to smash gold back down late summer, just to panic those who think it can only go one way.

Less than 14 months ago I sat in the AGN and John sununu was asked about hedging and said they might consider it at 1800, as if that was highly unlikely. The rise in pog has been incredible really. Based on AIsc if 600, our margin has risen from 720 to 1415 since June 2019

A bit unnerving watching gold go at this pace, this is the pressure gauge in the printing press warning it's gonna blow.

Had to swallow my pride and get back a little into Gran Colombia today, too undervalued; just no more giveaways to Sprott and cronies.

Roxg is flirting with highs not seen since 2012, pinch me moments going on all over it seems.

Very odd media coverage on the rise in the price of gold, the BBC is ignoring it! The FT is covering it, obviously, but nothing anywhere else. Surely that is a important story? Weird.

I had a fair chunk of POG from 11p. I jumped ship quickly - but reluctantly- - when this latest fiasco kicked off. Shame.

Captain Kirk, yes which is exactly what I mean about building more houses. My book says we need about 5,500,million less of us or we are doomed. If we, that is world government don't do what China had the courage to do then 2100 might be the last number a lot of our children will see. That is if c20 doesnt wipe 1/2 of us out by then. If you want some sound advise, buy land out in the wild somewhere as working the land and providing for yourself keeps you out of trouble and builds imunity to what ever happens to be around. In times like we have now, or just hd which ever way you look at it. The city is not the place to be.

Matt

Just checked out Beirut.
See what you mean.

That city and Lebanon have been through a lot since 1975.
The Paris of the Middle East....rebuilt and revived.
only to be hit by debt implosion and now a devastating munitions explosion.

just checked out the POG, to see a twin pronged top [well, for now leastways] at $2005.

Is it just me; looks like 2 fingered salute?

The SNP will take it anyway.

Land is only worth as much as the law backing it. And socialists will change the law.
