Could be a big week for us.
Good news with exploration on top of all the coverage and momentum of gold.
Trading Aaz is foolhardy and for the squeamish Who think they’re clever making a turn.
Good luck all

COT analysis: the box below shows the changes in non-spec and spec categories. Note how non-spec shorts reduced 50/50 between categories. Also note how managed money cut longs and added a few shorts. Clearly, they read the charts.

MM are now 42% of the specs so not the main influence and effectively neutral. The swaps are still massively short - $52bn gross, or $37bn net of longs. In money terms they have made no progress despite the fall in open interest of 4,509 contracts.

Conclusion: Charts say gold overbought and due a correction. COT figures reveal otherwise with swaps being squeezed on bear positions and the real speculators, hedge funds, only neutral on OB/OS measure. This squeeze appears to have legs for a further move up in the coming days.

"There are some strong arguments for having some gold exposure in your portfolio"

Just some strong arguments?
I can give you a blood lot, also offer a strong argument to get out the rest of the market.

Some of these so called experts are clowns.
I will not be clicking on to that twitter page.

The people who get 'liquidated' are the ones gambling on high leverage. Same as everything, if you buy low and hold you can make a great return. Even after last night's drop it is still up 10% from a week ago and about 50% so far this year. Btw the price crashed when it reached 12k, so hard for it to crash 'by-14k-in-minutes'. DYOR

We are waiting for just one piece of news here to send this share price flying past 2 pound a share.
We see the explorers that are nowhere near even starting production flying.
We have the producers that are fly.
AAZ has been steady,No its been disappointing.
Only just higher than we started the year.
Well here you have both, exploration and production.
I would like gold to tread water at these prices for a month or two, but its not going to happen. $2000 will be gone this week,if not Monday.
AIMO for what its worth.

It's happened several times this year and is purely manipulation to liquidate long positions. With weekend volume so low they pile in a load of sells which causes a snowball downhill effect and many people lose a lot of money. It's nothing new yet bitcoin type investment share holders (like arb) seem to turn a blind eye to it in their blinkered approach.https://cointelegraph.com/news/1-billion-liquidated-as-bitcoin-price-crashes-by-14k-in-minutes

BTC dropped £500 in the space of 5 minutes overnight. Anyone know why? Seems to attract outright gamblers IMO. Related boards full of whackos etc.

Bitcoin trading never stops and is making a strong upward move today. I don’t have anything to do with it but it might be showing the way PMs will go tomorrow night.

Peter Schiff, start about 5 mins in to about 20 mins, comments on Fitch and the doubts around US Treasuries, he's forecasting a big move up in Gold for Sunday night when markets re-open. He makes a good living from being a doom monger, but could he be right about this?
