07/5/2020 11:36 | ODR.....expect good things from KAT. FDBK just gone interesting......exp | ![]() wimbled
07/5/2020 11:20 | Hope some traders picked up some KAT when I menditoned here the other day when share price was around 2p .... touched 3p for while early today and most would have got at least 2.5p. Fun not over there as today's independent scoping report confirms the excellent economics of $1b revenue over 25 years life of mine, so around $500m to KAT as 50% JV and with a market cap of 6m you can see momentum building from here. Funding decision due between now and end of May, if they get it there should be fireworks, but also a great trading stock in anticipation of the same as seen today, for a quick turnaround play. 07/5/2020 11:18 | Construction of a second tailings dam would allow tailings from first dam to be processed, estimated worth $30ml in recovered metals. First dam would become standby enabling second dam tailings to be processed. Im sure this has been a part of their short term and long term planning with mention of a site already earmarked for second dam. There’s decades digging of gold, silver and copper on AAZ’s prospects across their 3 acreages of Gedabek, Gosha and Ordubad. All the reports, links and info kindly provided in the header. | ![]() bleepy
07/5/2020 10:58 | Yes, the “up” pipe was installed ages ago for the water plant. The water plant treats water from the tailings not the plant directly ( to allow the solids to settle out of course) When the tailings are treated another “up” pipe will be installed to allow the pumping of the solids (in slurry form) back up to the plant. The pipes just sit in a lined trench. It’ll be a doddle to do Currently three pipes in the trench. Two down, one up. | jbravo2
07/5/2020 10:46 | There are always some companies that flourish in such situations, always. We are going to witness the 'creative destruction' of the capitalism & the markets and those big & small corporates with debt and exposed to the effects of the virus are going to have significant problems. Other, more nimble, debt-free corporates should flourish & be able to capitalise on the opportunities that will inevitably emerge from all this. | ![]() mattjos
07/5/2020 10:44 | They think inflation will only hit 2% in 2023. These people are clueless! | ![]() brasso3
07/5/2020 10:36 | Its bleak but I think it could be a lot worse-i think its going to be very tough and have cashed up some of My long term div holdings as cash will be the way to take advantage when the market properly corrects. I am however holding onto a small number of holdings, AAZ being one of them | ![]() gutterhead
07/5/2020 10:22 | many thanx guys and thanx for the heads up Rb, Bumpa,,, I sold EVG for a gain,, will take another look though :-) GLA Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
07/5/2020 10:06 | keep an eye on EVG, bought back at 11/11.1 with difficulty despite the drop. Something is going on there, the house FCAP have been bidding in size consistently all week, the abrupt - though apparently amicable - departure of long serving CEO, unusual. if it slips further I’m in for more. | ![]() bumpa33

07/5/2020 09:54 | The backdrop for global oil demand was bad way before Covid, my sole reason for steering clear of oil plays. I’d tried looking at undervalued ones with more than one operation but the market wasn’t interested this year; Covid just broke the camels back. AA. Looking good, if it gets past 30p I’ll be well happy. | ![]() riggerbeautz
07/5/2020 09:54 | That is a pretty bleak statement from the BoE this morning: Dividends as generous as AAZ's are not to be sniffed at | ![]() mattjos

07/5/2020 09:49 | TERROPOL7 May '20 - 09:16 - 34767 of 34768 0 3 0 Good morning all, re Tailing... If I remember correct the company was going to install a return line for the water with a big pump in order to reuse the water... Thanks Terropol, you maybe referring to... The Industrial Application of Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis for the Recovery of Copper, Silver and Cyanide from Gold Leach Liquors Since the start of mining operations at Gedabek in 2009, ore processing has been operated on a zero discharge basis, with all process solutions being stored on the mine property and mainly in the tailings dam. The climatic conditions at Gedabek are such that in normal years there is a positive water balance, with typically about 300,000 m3 of water added to the inventory each year. Eventually, storage of this excess water would become unsustainable and so it was decided to install a water treatment system that could treat the process solutions to recover dissolved metals and cyanide and produce water clean enough to replace current fresh water inputs to the process, and also for direct discharge to the environment, when necessary. | ![]() bleepy
07/5/2020 09:39 | True,Fozzie, some things are completely out of any company's control. But, in this case, what's definitely NOT going to happen in the forseeable future is the gold price dropping... | ![]() linz22
07/5/2020 09:24 | Yes, as i remember, that water return is there now Terropol. The re-processing of Tailings is now quite a well-established industry with modern re-processing techniques. Looks like a perfect project for AAZ to involve some Phd students with locally + John Monhemius | ![]() mattjos
07/5/2020 09:20 | Just highlights what can happen though Matt through no fault of your own. Ptal is imo a well run company. Cash and no debt, and the so price was moving nicely ahead at 32p, then the US, Saudies and Russians dragged the oil price back 40% one Sunday evening and the Covid hit as well. This latest setback, again unforeseen sees the Peruvian govt shut the pipeline leaving Ptal with nowhere to go, all rather unfortunate and outside of managements control. It could happen here, Azeri govt shuts all mines, gold price drops etc etc | ![]() fozzie
07/5/2020 09:16 | Good morning all, re Tailing... If I remember correct the company was going to install a return line for the water with a big pump in order to reuse the water... Not sure if it got done but my guess is yes. They were talking about it when I was there 2.5 years back. On another note re government, Not only the country is getting The gold but the company employs 1000 people and all the spin off that creates, The town of Gedebey is grown a lot since the company started and is all due to the mining operations. AAZ is good for Azerbaijan and I am confident it will continue. Now looking forward to the dividends and news for the next plan of attack. | ![]() terropol
07/5/2020 09:11 | after seeing that PTAL RNS this morning, it reinforces once again just how well set up AAZ is. Production uninterrupted, cash in the bank, Revenues incoming. There will be plenty more corporate casualties to come as a consequence of this virus. AAZ management a standout team | ![]() mattjos
07/5/2020 08:41 | We are not at the peak of the oil storage problems. The rise in oil prices recently will just not help to cut production based on OPEC agreements. As Rick Rule states, "the cure for low prices is low prices". | ![]() brasso3 |
