04/12/2018 21:14 | The S&P dropped like a stone from 2760, found support twice at 2700, but a bad day nonetheless. I’ve a feeling some low vol stuff is starting to blow up... | ![]() bumpa33
04/12/2018 21:12 | Closed Tesla for a loss on the bell at $359 - 10 points off the highs of the day - but considering the blood bath literally everywhere else no point in staying with it. | ![]() bumpa33
04/12/2018 21:12 | Dma, not dam | ![]() sportbilly1976
04/12/2018 21:11 | You can see the drop around 5pm gmt when the 200 dam went and there was a significant drop in 20-30 minutes straight after...etf's and quants there taking over in the ultra short term | ![]() sportbilly1976
04/12/2018 21:00 | Just about holding 2700 into the close but off 3.3% The only other 3 years since 1950 we’ve had a 3% down day in December? 2000 2008 1987 | ![]() bumpa33
04/12/2018 20:31 | Bounced once off 2700, threatening again now. | ![]() bumpa33
04/12/2018 20:30 | Bumpa, I'm very sorry to hear about your neighbour, fingers crossed its a small one and he/she will make a full recovery, cheers Wan | wanobi
04/12/2018 20:22 | The problem with these swings is that they chip away at the confidence of market participants and the market becomes destabilised - increasingly nervy and jittery. | ![]() bumpa33
04/12/2018 20:18 | Just had a quick look in and wow - the brutality of the thumps down make me fear for this market wan. Unfortunately I’m out of the game this evening as at the local hospital translating for my neighbour and a suspected stroke. This would’ve been an evening to trade, for sure :( | ![]() bumpa33
04/12/2018 18:40 | Bumpa, I am inclined to agree that this is all looking a bit jittery right now, could be a long term major topping out process leading to a massive fall to come... you may very well be correct :-) cheers Wan free stock charts from uk.advfn.com may find some support around 2000, if not 1500 looks to be the next major bounce point !!!!! alternatively could be just a consolidation phase like 2000 before the next move up !!!! personally I think you are right and it is topping out and will roll over back to test 2000 minimum!!! cheers Wan | wanobi
04/12/2018 18:39 | Spot on brasso, quite a few smaller holdings have been taken out of the equation the last couple of days and amalgamated into a couple of more patient hands. There really is little reason to feel sorry for them though. How anyone can not be aware of what's coming is baffling but I guess there really are still plenty of uninformed investors. A visit to proactive and seeing the questions bill gets asked shows that :D | jbravo2
04/12/2018 18:31 | why an II/PI pays 96p when they could have bought them @ 95.2p beggars belief but then it is obvious really | ![]() ntv
04/12/2018 18:02 | now, what was I saying about volatility? Hate to say it, but these swings look more like the machinations of a bear market than merely a healthily correcting one. | ![]() bumpa33
04/12/2018 17:47 | The 100k trades are definitely buys. A case of the small boys selling, the big boys buying. | ![]() brasso3
04/12/2018 17:29 | Could it flip the other way if the Brexit deal is agreed or perhaps a new referendum takes place? Having said that if there is a no deal Brexit the pound will fall more. All a bit hard to call. | ![]() puntogt
04/12/2018 17:28 | yes sportbilly .. I would suggest the 95.2 stock has now gone with those late reported buys. Price has also closed above that level now, which has capped it the last week or so. Once the market sees them no longer there in tomorrow's auction, I would expect it move swiftly higher to make the first attempt on the 100p level, with 95p now a strong support level. | ![]() mattjos
04/12/2018 17:23 | Weak pound vs strong gold price bodes well | ![]() sharekitchen1974
04/12/2018 17:17 | No obvious closing auction trade late trades: 100k at 95p 106k at 96p seller truly cleared and the opposite buys now reported? | ![]() sportbilly1976
04/12/2018 17:17 | Short 2760 and out at 2740, something whacked the SPX the last 20 mins | ![]() bumpa33
04/12/2018 17:15 | it's the unique quality of value here that will keep me holding for the foreseeable future. The exceptionally able and honest managers and directors, the strength of the balance sheet, the excellent margin and profitability, the sharing of the profit via an excellent divi, and to cap it all the real prospect of finding a great deal more resource. Not only all of that, but also I hope that the excellence demonstrated here leads to the Azzeri government inviting AAZ to engage in other contracts. This is not a binary bet as so much of AiM is, but a remarkable example of how capital should be put to work in the best possible way. Such that all involved benefit either from risking their capital, or from selling their services. | ![]() lefrene
04/12/2018 17:00 | Ok, we definitely have a gap fill now on the S&P... | ![]() bumpa33
04/12/2018 16:59 | I also hold all that were purchased 4-6p and have bought all the way up. I have yet to sell any and with the div on offer, coupled with long term prospects, have no intention currently. They really would need to be 250p for me to give up the % Div income. | ![]() gutterhead
04/12/2018 16:53 | This may well be what’s spooking the market... | ![]() bumpa33 |
