19/9/2018 10:44 | jbravo2 I'm not sure it's quite as simple as that. Sure some people will have traded this for a 'small' gain but people sell for all sorts of reasons. I moved large parts of my portfolio into AAZ when it was in the low 40s last week seeing that there was a great opportunity hiding in plain sight. I've sold a few of those today but AAZ still currently occupies about 50% of my portfolio. | homebrewruss
19/9/2018 10:34 | Brasso how is LVL 2 looking? | henwii
19/9/2018 10:21 | Well I guess its only the uninformed and deliberately obtuse who are selling now. The last three days have answered every doubt anyone can have. The following months and years will just prove it, time after time. Some people still won't believe. Think it's too good to be true. resourceful selling 1m shares at 7p telling us we were all fools of course. He'd be doing "ok" if he'd held, as it is I had some of them and now I'm doing "ok" | jbravo2
19/9/2018 10:15 | excellent results as expected, but a pleasant surprise on the divi - couldn’t really ask for more. Looks like 60 is the new 50, for now :) | bumpa33
19/9/2018 10:09 | Wonder how much these improvements have contributed to lowering the already low AISC? As they will do so on ongoing basis, they are particularly beneficial: " Various other initiatives have been undertaken during 2018 to improve the operational efficiency at site: -- The Company has started to reconfigure its ROM stockpile pads. This will enable more efficient (and therefore lower cost) handling of plant feed and this work is expected to be completed by the end of 2018. -- Transportation logistics are being improved with a new spur road link between the main open pit mine and processing plant now under construction. This new road will reduce haulage distances between the mine and the processing plant. -- An expansion of the on-site maintenance facilities and workshop is now being planned. -- Several specialist managers have been recruited to improve working practices. These are in the areas of mining, drill and blast, equipment operation and maintenance. -- A diesel filtration system has been installed to improve the quality of fuel used which will improve the efficient operation of equipment. -- A new solution sprinkling system has been installed to better distribute cyanide on heaps which are being leached. 19/9/2018 09:35 | Wow, stunning set of results and far exceeded my conservative $5.5m PBT guestimate. Congrats to Henwii (post 15434) for an almost spot on prediction(!). I'm particularly pleased to see the reduction in AISC. If you compare these interims to 2016 (where production and revenues were very similar) the cost of sales is down c$2.5m, which really demonstrates the effect of the capex on improved plant efficiencies. I think even with the slightly lower gold/copper prices we should be looking at $20m+ PBT for the full year. Excited for the Q3 production update :) This has £100m+ market cap as a minimum written all over it. GL all. | king suarez
19/9/2018 09:30 | SPA need to dust off that abacus now and provide figures for revenue, net profit, eps and dividend as crazycoops highlighted so that II's tools to screen companies will flag up this opportunity Value here is clearly above SPAs target of 84p I'm tempted to sell some as it has risen so quickly and is now half of my SIPP but know I will regret it if I do Think I will go to the golf course, remember the reasons I invested so heavily here and leave my mobile at home | return_of_the_apeman
19/9/2018 09:27 | I liken worrying about gaps in the chart to my 8 year old avoiding standing on the lines on the pavement... (-: I think with yesterday's update underlining the fact we have 1m oz in the pit alone and lots of goodies underground too, we can see that gedabek will be running at the current rate for at least 10 years, probably 20 The generation of cash at 50m usd a year less capex is going to easily fund our fat dividend and also should fund a small heap leach at ordubad, remember thats how gedabek was started for 20m usd so that is easily fundable from cashflow depending on what they find ... | catsick
19/9/2018 09:26 | Agreed Brasso. Obvious point.. but the explo. news + interims are already fully 11 weeks behind the game now. I just wonder what the net cash and cashflow is right now + the further resource revealed. Not long until Gadir JORC and Q3 production are out. The confidence eminating from AAZ, now embodied in 25% free cashflow div. strongly suggest to me that AAZ team know fine full well this newsflow will re-inforce the already very +ve outlook. I mean you don't bang out 25% fcf div. chancing it that you will need to rein right in in 6 months or next year. That would lose credibility/confiden | 2sporrans
19/9/2018 09:22 | It Is a exhausting gap and is not nessecerly be filled Ps what is the broker target price of AAZ ? Thanks Trinko | trinko
19/9/2018 09:15 | Re 15510 Reza has 29% holding not 16% as far as I recall | jaspoland
19/9/2018 09:13 | I know Matt is nervous about gaps. I think if we pull away strongly from this area then the gap is not so important. | brasso3
19/9/2018 09:12 | Brasso Do you see this gap to 54p being closed? Maybe. But might not be different this time? The past 4 RNSs, put together are worth more than sum-of-parts imho. + surely they have exceeded the av. investor expectation. So, given a re-rating is well in order and 60p looks a conservative one, maybe the usual post news dip won't fill the gap? If it does, then great buying op. The difference between all the years since IPO and now, going forward, is that AAZ is returning value to shareholders and not in a token manner. You get paid well [7.8%pa?] just to sit on hands a few, several years....maybe a decade or more. | 2sporrans
19/9/2018 08:55 | Matt Do you see the gap down to 54p? | brasso3
19/9/2018 08:48 | Absolutely fantastic stuff from AAZ, the leadership and staff deserve a big round of applause It is covered in today’s Telegraph I don’t subscribe but AAZ tweeted the link on Twitter | crazycoops
19/9/2018 08:47 | 20000 more for my ISA - for the dividend portfolio. Missed the best of that dip, so 58.7p I think this divi stands a v. good chance of being sustained new few years at least. As Reza et al say they want it. 25% of free cash flow. based on the ~2.3p xd-11Oct18 being replicated 6 months later 4.6p pa 7.67% @60p price. Directors and shareholders interests are v. aligned with AAZ. They have long said they want to return value to shareholders; now they are. What they've been telling us they expect to deliver....the past few years....they have consistently achieved. That's got to be worth some kind of premium. But the share price is still on a huge discount. As posted above: 8% dividends don't stay that way. And the odds are v. high imho that the adjustment over time will be of a rising sp, rather than free cash flow shrinkage and div. cuts. | 2sporrans
19/9/2018 08:34 | Advfn charts not working (as usual these days...) Edit, now live. | highly geared
19/9/2018 08:34 | A nice set of results as expected and dividend looks sustainable at 7.5% yield while commodity prices are low The high rate of dividend was certainly unexpected on my part Happy to top up on any weakness | ntv
19/9/2018 08:32 | Just bagged some more at 57 | sh0wmethemoney
19/9/2018 08:31 | Delighted with this early lull in proceedings. Managed to bag myself some more at 58p. Incredible discount | shammytime
19/9/2018 08:28 | Suspect some of the midas crew are flipping for a quick gain Perhaps we will get an II on here now | return_of_the_apeman
19/9/2018 08:28 | Markets are bizarre at times. AAZ will pay back c. 45% of the market cap between now and 2023 in dividends and the share price hardly moves. What more do people want. Maybe it’s the Azerbaijan effect? Sell the news...? | highly geared
19/9/2018 08:24 | I'm sure it's been mentioned but are they doing post results presentations and does anyone have a shareholder list? | loafofbread
19/9/2018 08:12 | Mind the gap please chaps ... none on the chart whatsoever from 4p & I'd rather there was not one today | mattjos |
