If this finally comes into the spotlight for a new group of PI's (e.g. like the trades this morning) our anonymous buyer in the background may need to start to be a little more aggressive.
He's had it his own way for a few weeks now where he's mopped up the bored exiting for their gains.

I wish the likes of fundfemale would join us over here. It was her that got me into AAZ in the first place all those years ago

jaspoland

Does seem dead on there jaspo and discussion is hardly current or in depth. I've posted the Daniel Flynn interview with Bill on both so at least there is up to date and informative input.

Not one post on LSE or iii since results. Appreciate this is a much more active thread but still very much under the radar. Onwards and upwards

Buyer still probing in the auction. Can't imagine his thirst will be quenched with 2,061 shares at 49.5p!
Up thruppence on the week. Delighted with that & the 5 year chart looks terrific.
Enjoy the long weekend all.

Ridiculous I know but I wish he said it's a country with "low operating costs", rather than saying it's "CHEAP"! Don't want the Azeri's raising the parking rate!

He is perfect as he is, imo.
AIM is littered with excitable BS merchants all selling snakeoil placings.
Bill is steady, unflappable, experienced/seasoned, knowledgeable & trustworthy .. what better man to have on the financial tiller?
2 years ago he advised at the AGM that he was checking every penny spent .. including Directors Car Park tickets. That is exactly who you want as a CFO, Exactly.

Great news on the divi. I've added. Great company always has been at 4 p per share they were a screaming buy. At 50p per share they're still a screaming buy. I said at 4p - £4 per share was possible i still believe thats that magic number.
We just need to drill and convert the russian data into jorc compliant gold.. easy money chaps .patience is the key!!

Listening the interview and all the very real positives I'd just like Bob to display a wee bit more enthusiasm. It is a very minor criticism given the achievements to get us to where we are now, and no doubt that's the accountant in him.

6 months we have been in consolidation awaiting FY17 results. There is now nothing 'in the rear view mirror' so to speak but, plenty ahead 'through the windscreen' to look forward to :-)
The trend should be upward.
New faces arriving now for the next part of the journey and many previous investors now realising that trading out for paltry 20% in the hope of scalping a few more on a drop is a daft exercise, particularly as the MM's will so quickly lock buyers out for even 1,000 shares so, your dealing costs will quickly run up for no gain.

The company is still absurdly cheap & has plenty of catalysts in the pipeline to maintain the growth in underlying valuation so, why would you want to sell at this level simply to pass a gain on to the next person?

still no sign of a seller in the auctions .. buyer is probing ever higher with small parcels to try and find out if he is still there but, he's not finding any for sale, which is why there are no UT trades last night or today.
Either seller is completely out or backed off until we get much higher

Friendzarin, yes it's early days and the new leadership will unlikely yet be fully up to speed with dirty politics. There will be all kinds of vested interests wishing to keep things as they are, and very likely doing their best to undermine the newbies. However there is perhaps a chance for things to improve, and both sides will be only too aware that Putin perceives the area as his own backyard. One can only hope for the best.

Seems that the prospect of a divi is sending out the right message, it would be good to see this well managed business reach a fair valuation. What is it now, about $100 million sunk in capital equipment and almost $50 million debt paid down in short order. A gross profit of something like 82,000 oz x $660 (about £41 million) for the end of the year.

Certainly the managers here are doing rather better than those clever people who paid £350 million for Homebase and just sold it for a £1. I suppose as things come good and there is capital to splash around it brings whole new dangers of it's own. Just a tad early here to worry about those sort of problems!
