Something weird with the trades shown this afternoon. I bought a few, the price moved above 20p afterwards, but the trade is not visible with correct price, time or volume, .....then there are after hour sells ?? Very strange !

1,000 shares was all I could get this morning at 18.25p @ 08:05am after the pre-market auction finished ... WINS moved the Offer seconds later before I could re-load another Buy & had to pay 18.75 for next small batch and then 19p.

Greedy basterward MM's .. they have fleeced the Directors at 17.5p and are now fleecing the market at 20p+.

Nota Benne Reza & BOD: Lend the Directors some cash for a few days so they can take up 100% of the Options and then dribble them out. This 'Sell on the day for tax reasons' is just gifting the chiselling MM's money for nowt.

Anyway, chart pattern completed perfectly .... onwards and upwards from here chaps. 23p next short-term target

pretty much text-book TA of a breakout from a rising wedge / Reversal pattern.
The back-test is done but, if this is offered at 19p or less, I will be hitting it again and again. We should really be free now to crack-on upwards but, since the MM's here generally prefer a flat book, if they want to shift it quick, in a thin summer market, I have limit buys now in place. 19p is the obvious marker & the MM's know it so, I'll settle now (after the back-test) for 19.25p for my limits and do battle with any of you lot :-)

Gold finishing the week over $1,270 woukd be extremely good news. We could well be on the cusp of the next bull market leg. Investors need to realise this.

Breaking out of the pennant and long term downtrend implies a gold price several hundred dollars higher initially as soon as this year!

Like I said this is the most crucial action in years in the gold market.

The dollar has clearly broken down from its generational top and could well be heading back in to the 80's.

Watch silver spike several dollars higher very quickly if it goes much higher. There is an all time record spec, short position just waiting to be squeezed.

The US$ valuation has, in part, been based on an assumption of 3-4 rate hikes this year. No chance!
Therefore, US$ likely to remain under pressure as that reality dawns on folk & $ weakness should help Gold continue upwards

Ah yes, I see why

USA Q2 GDP missed. Q1 GDP revised Downwards. Inflation collapsed and wage growth also fell.

That is hardly a backdrop against which they will be able to raise rates!

There is no way the FED can shrink their balance sheet (in so doing reducing liquidity which will be deflationary in itself) & raise rates at same time, which is a tool used to crack down on inflation .. there is no inflation to speak of.

I still do not see rates increasing this year, simply because the debt loading is far too great still

It is going to be fascinating to see this & next monthly candlestick for Gold on the chart. It does look very promising for a genuine breakout from the 6 year pennant/flag/falling wedge. How the market reacts, assuming it breaks upwards, will be just as interesting.Copper and Gold in breakout territory & Silver most likely to follow them upwards .... we may yet look back at this period in AAZ's history and be thankful a small bit of their resource stayed in the ground for a few extra months!

I've traded a few, but only a tiny sliver of my holding really.
It'll take a long time to sell my holding when the time comes

Yes to all that matt but for the second time today jeanesy is right. !!
I make it that the amount he's sold would cover a tax rate of roughly 70%! (Rounded figures and ignoring fees etc)

Yes the Market will have taken the all lot of shares in one go.....below 18p, and then moved market lower to create some buying wile netting them some profit.
There may be a few more to buy tomorrow and monday....then any buying should push the price quite a bit up.

jeanesy .. none of us can know the financial affairs of others at any one point in time. If you read some of the 18 months ago RNS's there was an indication that management were forgoing some element of salary when the debt was at its peak.
If this is the means by which they 'earn back' that missed salary & pocket some extra shares then, I have no problem with it at all. It clearly demonstrates that Reza will look after his team in such circumstances & shows their confidence in the long term prospects of the company.

Main thing is it's been rinsed through the market in one hit. The MM's have some stock and are probably glad of it.
Should now gradually recover to approx. where it was before today, as folk now understand the reason for today's seemingly 'inexplicable' fall.
