16/1/2017 13:39 | Gold touch £1000 today...this company is a great hedge against the falling £. | imnotspartacus
16/1/2017 12:53 | Mr Positive is back........^^^^^^^^ | deanroberthunt
16/1/2017 12:13 | Bang on support at the momment, will it hold? My guess is not as there seems to be a lot of nervousness arround. | zhockey
16/1/2017 09:54 | Don't forget that the reason the mine was there in the first place was because Siemens had it as a copper mine for the first global telecoms network. They weren't primarily after gold, they just took it as an undeclared by product. Other reserves as recently found were probably known about but 150 years ago in Az gold wasn't what Siemens were after. So it may not be as copper rich. Time will tell | cannonfodd3r
16/1/2017 09:53 | As I understand it, it is the Gedabek open pit that is projected to go to a 50:50 Gold/Copper production profile. However, that does not take into account the future contribution from Ugur, Ordubad, Bittibulag, Gadir or any other part of their assets. Given the ore complexity & the growing Copper & Silver production, the company may elect to report its production in Gold equivalents ie. The equivalent number of ounces of gold produced after taking into account the revs from the Copper & Silver. It all about perception. If the company wanted to known as a Copper miner, it simply report its headline revenues as equivalent tonnes of Cu produced, after taking into account Gold & Silver. Not sure we should get too hung up on it at this stage. Just look at the headline figures & accept it is made up of 3 (possibly more in future) metals. | mattjos
16/1/2017 09:30 | 11:03 in the interview | jbe81
16/1/2017 08:52 | If you look at the last 5 years that AAZ have announced 4th Q previous year results it seems to opt for later in the week than Monday and usually issues first thing 2016 Thur 14 7:00 am 2015 Wed 14 7:15 am 2014 Wed 15 7:00 am 2013 Wed 09 7:00 am 2012 Tue 10 7:00 am | friendzarin
16/1/2017 08:27 | This looks like it's probably not going to be the "gold mine" we expected. | bsg
16/1/2017 07:56 | I have listened. Listen again. Bill does say that, But the words before are based on what we know now. I asked Stephen about it at the presentation, he said some of the gold doesn't contain copper so doesn't see it being 50/50. | jbe81
16/1/2017 07:47 | We need businessmen/women to rule our countries, not stooges.....Trump is the best thing since sliced bread...end of | deanroberthunt
16/1/2017 07:46 | you must have not been listenning, it's exactly what it says, I didm't make it up......a 50/50 Gold/Copper producer, that is the aim....with a continual decline in Gold production | deanroberthunt
16/1/2017 07:43 | Pan, like it. Think gold might have a few good days this week, with the pantomime in the USA playing out this week. | wrighty46
16/1/2017 07:38 | Deanrobert, that is not what the interview says. It says based on what they know now, ie ignoring all future exploration. Some of the new gold deposits don't contain copper so won't pan out like that. | jbe81
16/1/2017 07:33 | Gold at $1206 if anyone interested 🙂 | homebrewruss
16/1/2017 07:16 | No news is good news so the adage goes! | cannonfodd3r
16/1/2017 07:14 | @Jeanesy et al you need to watch the youtube interview with the CEO and Director of Geology I posted te other day....that would answer a large portion of these repetitive quesions.. they clearly state that they expect Gold production to decline yr on yr....that is what the Geology is telling them, however, they expect this o be offset by increasing production of Copper, with expectations of going from a 95/5 Gold/Copper producer now, to a 50/50 ratio in the nxt 2-3 yrs..... Deal with facts not hope | deanroberthunt
16/1/2017 00:07 | I think we see 16k of q4 production and 500 ton of copper, we should see net debt down to 35m usdHopefully a few snippets on exploration and some idea of capex planned, grades do seem to be falling and we have been using some ore stockpiles and tailings which while cost effective is not sustainable without new fresh higher grades found and exploited, The ccy depreciation should mean the margin they are operating on is running at very high levels irrespective of the price of gold. | catsick
15/1/2017 22:51 | What's with the foul language, whatever happened to good old English manners?? | zhockey
15/1/2017 21:03 | Alot of people waiting to buy here, anticipating a big drop early doors. But will be interesting if the update is +ve and share price is up. | jbe81
15/1/2017 20:30 | Differing views, negative, positive etc etc is healthy and every board is all the better for it. However dishing out personal attacks, and constantly gloating while fellow investors were losing vast amounts of money is not on. This pathetic individual has a very dark side, and fed off others misery. I will say no more as I respect you and the fantastic bb you have created here. Hoping for a good week here. Exploration news update wouldn't go amiss either. GLA. | wrighty46
15/1/2017 19:46 | Wrighty, you may not agree with Yas but, the market consists of all sorts of folk with differing opinions.I do not always agree with Yas but, his views are not without merit.Anyway, I'd rather the thread remained free of personal attacks that can rather dilute the quality so, please, would you try & rein in the personal stuff?Let's see what the company has to say this week | mattjos
15/1/2017 14:00 | I share your view Yasx & also look forward to the usual sell on update action that AAZ predictably creates.Have cashed in on some gains elsewhere, to be ready here. With exploration well in-hand at Ordubad, Gadir, Bittibulag & Ugur, I believe there will be a stimulative newsflow this next 3-6 months. The $2.5m quarterly debt repayments to ATB through the year should also provide a backdrop for mkt cap moving up £2m or so, every 3 monthsThe market generally has now digested the Fed's intent on interest rates this year ... but there remains a plethora of likely political & financial catalysts around the world to halt that intent and/or propel gold onwards we'll past $1,200 ... none least than Trump himself. | mattjos |
