Unless the daily volume increases 5 to 10 fold this is going to drag on a while. |
Encouraged the sellers out at 115 and 114 this time. Only 20k. Having to go higher than last week though. |
$3k by the end of this week, but AAZ will still be the same price! lol |

So,,, we have 400,000 oz of Gold in the portfolio....
(Today Gold at $2905/oz) - (Sept 2019 Gold at $1500/oz) = An increase of $1405/oz
so, 400,000 x $1405/oz = $562M increase in value!!!
(AAZ share price today at 112p) - (AAZ share price in Sept 2019 at 170p) = -58p (decrease)
or
MCAP today at 131M - MCAP in Sept 2019 at ((131/112)*170 = 199M) = -68M (decrease)
if my maths is correct,,,, please do correct me if I am wrong LOL LOL
so,,, here we are with an increase of in the ground value of $562M (just for the gold alone) and a decrease in our MCAP of $68M....
um,,, doesn't sound right to me :-) LOL :-)
and that's before we talk about copper LOL.........
what on earth am I missing that those selling now are seeing!!!!???
Cheers Wan :-) |
Another Gold producer that is moving up is Greatland Gold GGP.
Canaccord's recently upgraded target price to 19p. |
A gold re-valuation would be good for Russia more than anyone.

Hargreaves and AJ Bell reporting Retail investors flocking into Gilts with a 4-Year high in purchases during January. No doubt the Budget tax changes are altering investor behaviour (as no doubt was cynically intended). Not convinced this is all together a sensible decision but will help mask the fact that overseas buyers have been shying away from Gilts. Investors and pension funds are being herded into UK Govt. Debt |
jb2
Thanks for that info.
It's that stage in the market where there are a few stale shareholders who have a FOMO (for some riskier punts) because a lot of gold and copper miners/explorers are catching a bid due to the metals prices going higher....and we are not moving....YET 😀😀 |
Guys'let the seller have their fun. Our day is not far off now IMO. The Gold price chasing $3K and we have a seller/sellers !! How are they going feel in a few weeks ?? No worries here. Enjoy the ride 😀. |
Well JB, I used the last bits of money behind the sofa and used it last week. No more left to buy anymore 😭. |
Yep. Spot on. Best quote to sell your shares was 25k shares @ 111.1p only a few minutes ago. It's now 25k @ 112.67 despite no trades shown since. MM's trying to find that point where the sellers emerge again. |
Market Makers have kept a wide official spread to control the mrket.
However, price looks to be firming from L2 info....IMHO
We are a precious metals and copper producer....people will find us eventually..... |
Central banks buying silver? Where did you see that? |
Yep things are moving. Requesting a quote to sell just 1000 shares shows the top bid is actually for 25k shares at over 111p. Things are gonna move this week |
buy price increasing here |
There were only 1-2 days in January when the GLD ETF recorded an inflow ... seemingly most 'Retail' are selling their Gold & Silver as they rise in price. The miners are being completely overlooked as so many people still chasing after the crypto and AI sectors.
Meanwhile, Central Banks are buying up Gold and also now Silver at a prodigious rate.
No idea when exactly but the miners generally will all lift once folk understand that PM prices are rising faster than costs. |
If you look at it from a different perspective. Anyone who invested elsewhere in the last 2 years (eg. anyone who bought tech stocks, bitcoin, gold) they have outperformed AAZ.
There always seems to be headwinds with AAZ (eg. war, politics, environmentalists) and the sporadic communication to the market compounds on these external factors. |
Absolutely baffling isn't it? I don't know what people spend their time analysing. When the profits and dividends are declared people will laugh that you could buy at c.110p in Feb '25.
Advice section (from an unqualified advice giver but self-professed genius)
Rummage down the back of the sofa. Invest in AAZ.
:D |
Just revisiting the Ben Jones note from last year. The DCF valuation with gold at $2,800 (chart does not go to $2,900!) and copper at $4.50 per lb is a .....£5.37 share price! There is a quite remarkable risk/reward opportunity available here. This value will out, and it will be explosive when it does. How much longer can this remain hidden? |
USD 3,000 POG coming into view, who would have thought it so soon in 2025, for FY yes, but it is only early Feb..
Minting it we are.. :o) |
