BANK - now off nearly 50% from yesterdays high. Wonder if funding news is out there? |
HOC down 10%, in part I suspect because they hedged a big chunk of their future gold production at very low prices. |

M/Kw is generally less with cold weather, however, I do find that the projected mileage in my MG4 is pretty accurate.
I only do mainly short distances now and find the whole experience to be excellent.
Very happy with 7p/Kw charging at home and zero emissions can’t be a bad thing either. |

I rather suspect that if engineers did a total production and life cycle study of electric vehicles, that there's little overall CO2 saved if at all, except at the visible point of use.
I'm currently helping out someone by doing a regular short delivery run with a leccy Peugeot (73 plate). The run is only 90 to 100 miles with 15 to 20 drops, 40% in a city (Norwich) and the rest mostly down B roads and country lanes. It starts telling that 190 miles are available, ie one should have 90 to 100 miles left when the run is completed. However over several weeks I find it's 45 to 60 miles left available, which in reality means there's 30 to 40 miles left. So perfect for short distance city work, but I wouldn't risk going more than 60 miles away from base with it.
I'm sure copper for city electric delivery vehicles and commuting cars will underpin copper demand, but we need better batteries or hydrogen? to go mainstream.
