25/3/2016 10:45 | I think some people forget how low AAZ are priced here. Yes it looks like they were overly optimistic on the floatation figures, but if they can produce only 60,000 oz of gold instead of 75,000, does that justify a going bust share price? However if they manage to manage to sort out the zinc issue then there is a lot of short term upside. As TP says the Q1 results will hopefully have FY guidance and that will remove the guess work. For me, as I have stated before, the gold reserves at Gedebek are all about clearing the debt and setting the company up for 10 years+ as a reasonably sized copper producer. | zhockey
25/3/2016 10:01 | Jeanesy Q4 gold production from the flotation plant was 335 ounces. The flotation plant may not have been in operation for the full quarter but it came online in October albeit not at full capacity. If you want to be optimistic then 800 ounces for Q1 might be possible. The flotation plant is making a big difference with silver and copper but does not appear to have much impact for gold numbers. This is surprising for me as AAZ projected 5000 ounces from Sept - Dec during installation/ commissioning of the facility. The high Zinc content of the Gadir ore is a factor but this needs further explanation in the full year results. | brasso3
25/3/2016 09:53 | I emailed the company last month and they told me that the monthly production figures do not include the gold produced by the flotation process so the actual figure is much higher. All will be revealed in April hopefully. | jeanesy
25/3/2016 09:27 | Production is down 20% for the same month yoy. So unless it is unseasonably cold this year, it is not weather related. IMHO | 1madmarky
24/3/2016 16:27 | As weather gets warmer production will escalate. Ignore the first 2 month. Looking to the companies full years production guidance. I am guessing on a bigger figure than last year. | terropol
24/3/2016 10:26 | Indeed, it still looks cheap at £7m mcap. | zhockey
24/3/2016 09:28 | 8580 ounces (Jan + Feb) at an average gold price of $1210 (87% WI) for 2016 is still $9m revenue. With the Manat devaluation the costs should still be around $700/ ounce at these reduced production levels IMO. Therefore still a profit to be made at $1200 gold price. 8580 x 0.87 x ($1210 - $700) = $3.8m | brasso3
24/3/2016 09:08 | only got half out unfortunately as I thought They cant run it | resourceful
24/3/2016 08:21 | Somebody should be able to pick up some cheap shares today, been somebody wanting 200k in the auction, might get them later | jbe81
23/3/2016 20:59 | It shouldn't be a surprise that production in February is lower/on par with January. The weather was similar over both months and February was 2 days shorter (stating the obvious)! The March figures will now be key to see where this is going. They will need to get back to the 5500 - 6000 oz region. I sold out 4 weeks ago (~6.5p) on the back of the January figures as I did not like the risk of reduced production with the $50m debt. The high gold price will obviously counter this reduced production for the first 2 months of the year but I was not prepared to stay invested on that alone. The November 2015 figures were also below average so that made me a little skeptical that we had entered a less productive window in the Gedebek mine. The increased silver looks positive and I am sure the copper figures will also look good but that will come with Q1 results in April. I have not been posting as its not my style to de-ramp after selling a share. I still have an interest in AAZ so will continue to follow the company related news. | brasso3
23/3/2016 20:58 | It would be higher than Jan per day if you account for the lower number of days in the month. | on target
23/3/2016 20:46 | If this figure is true then production was 4235 for feb which is lower than Jan! Disappointing but without knowing how much more was produced from flotation tank then we cant compare really. We need to keep fingers crossed that all is ok. I suppose we will have to wait until April for proper figures, news about copper and news on reduction of debt. | jeanesy
23/3/2016 20:31 | Gold production in Azerbaijan reduced by 20% It is a translation, so not very good Baku. March 17. 22/3/2016 09:16 | Indian jewellers buying strike ended yesterday which might explain the lift in gold prices from around 05:00 this morning | mattjos
22/3/2016 09:09 | Whats the next catalyst to move this higher ? Gold has consolidated nicely at around 1250 for a while now. | ilostthelot

17/3/2016 19:08 | significant chart breakout in Silver occurred today .. looks to me like it is heading to $17. big silver production expected for AAZ this year | mattjos
17/3/2016 12:01 | Yeah the $40 adds good numbers. Even $40 adds over $2m for the rest of year. If prices remain here we will clear 70,000oz with at least a $500 margin. That'll be the majority of the debt done in one year. Of course, lots of people are saying the gold price won't remain here. :) | jbravo2 |
