Really don't think we'll get a separate RNS for the flotation plant. It's not how the company communicate. Or at least how they have communicated in the past. They've announced they were commissioning. Full operation will naturally follow.
They aren't running the company like an exploration outfit where every little snippet needs to be posted to try to maintain interest. They know the results for 2015 will do all the talking.

I've already said I had a very vivid dream that first concentrate was achieved two days ago, the same day as the results. I'm unwilling to state it any plainer than that.

The calm before the storm? I would say we are now primed for lift off.

The next news will be the confirmation that the floatation plant is online i nthe next 2 weeks. Then the Q3 numbers in the second week of October

Joined in here this morning. Had to buy in 3 lots as stock was very thin. Will be adding more if we get any more of a dip. Can see pretty reasonable upside here over the next 12-18 months. GLA

Cantors have now switched to the bid, hardly anything on the offer - if Bashirov has been cleared (and that remains a big IF) this could put on quite a move as the valuation is still priced on that very difficult 2014 rather than looking ahead to the clear turnaround of 2015 onwards.

We were talking recently on the old thread about the potential in Azerbaijan. I will copy and paste below as it seems appropriate:-


"The country began to develop its gold mines only recently and is operating quite modest volumes of output so far. However, the main positive trend is linked with the increased pace of output. Azerbaijan has increased its gold production in 2014 and also sped up the exploration of new deposits. The aggregate potential of all fields available in Azerbaijan is estimated at about 1,500-2,000 tons of pure gold."



So AAZ have mined about 200,000 of those 65,000,000 oz to date. About 0.3% of the countries estimated potential reserves.

Hello Everybody

I have been in and out (mostly in) of AAZ since 2012 and have significantly increased my holding after the results. I have made the very occasional post but am mostly a lurker. One point I want to comment on was the comment that Bill Morgan made in his stocktube interview which was that the gold in Gedabek would last for another three or four years then AAZ would become primarily a copper miner. That is a relatively short timescale before the gold runs out which would presumably have a major impact on revenues and profits as I doubt that any produced copper would go anywhere near to making up the shortfall.

Does anybody else have concerns about this - I think there is some expectation that the gold resource at Gedabek will / may be be increased which might allay this, although Bill Morgan did seem to state it as though he fully expected that within four years AAZ would become a copper miner.

back in this one this morning, yet again - based on those excellent results, the reduction in costs and boost in production in particular. And that the overhang is nearly done - max bid 4.92 for 100k, max offer 100k at 5 - took mine from Cantors who were making the touch in 250k both ways.

Bashirov clearly has SOME shares left, or else we wouldn't have fallen back to 5p so sharply, after such heavy buying. Personally I think he may be down under 1m shares now...NAI

Tuesdays volume was the 4th highest daily volume since the company listed 10 years ago at 2.5m. over 90% of that were buys so, lets say Bashirov dropped 2m into the market on the day.

17 Oct 2013: He went from 18m to 12.7m
(Suggests to me that he started a long, long time before Oct 2013.. more like 12 months previous to that when the share price was in the 40-50p zone)

08 Jul 2015: He went from 11.5m to 4.5m (sales from 10 April to 8 Jul)

Between 8 Jul and 22 Sept the volume was such that it looks like he dropped another 1m into the market (ignoring the small PI trades).

Cantor are the MM that have been glued on the Offer here since the 40p region back in 2012. They are the MM that has his SELL instruction.

I believe he's down to his last 1.5m shares now, possibly a bit less.
The trading action suggests Cantor are willing to accept 5p for the stock - only £75k worth of overhang left to go.
That is now in the ballpark where one PI could take the lot, albeit Cantor will probably want to eek that out in 100k-200k tranches to maximise their transaction fees on the deal.
Given the results information now published and the growing realisation that the share price is down at this crazy level simply as a consequence of Bashirov selling and not that the company is going bust ... I believe he'll be cleaned out of these remaining shares within the next 2-3 weeks max.

There has not been A N other entity or, one other MM that has taken them off him .. it has been virtually exclusively PI's that have taken the stock so, it will be interesting to see what sort of liquidity and trading levels return after the rest of the stock has been taken up in the market. I imagine there will be some short-term traders that are on this now, scenting a overhang clearing for quick gain but, most PI's tend to hang on to shares for far longer periods & there looks to be no shortage of good reasons to do just that.

Looking at the volume since Bashirovs declaration there is no way he can be finished yet. I expect there is still 1m shares to shift. The Q3 numbers will hopefully generate the last bit of volume needed to clear him out.
