28/4/2015 14:11 | If you look at a 15 year gold chart the current price is at the bootom of the long term uptrend. Like you say Matt, it looks like we are close to a big move in price (hopefully up). | brasso3
28/4/2015 13:38 | $1209 first hurdle Terropol but, that may be coming soon. still looks and feels to me like there is a strong move one way or t'other fairly imminently | mattjos
28/4/2015 12:37 | Come on POG get to $1300, you know you like to be up there.... | terropol
27/4/2015 15:21 | Gold up from $1185 to $1200 in a few minutes. | brasso3
26/4/2015 10:32 | The company believes the flotation process can move gold recovery from 71% to 90% from the agitation plant.Gold produced from agitation was 11222oz in q1 at 71%, so 90% would add around 3000oz to quarterly production. Presumably, this would be achieved at little incremental cost, meaning the circa $3.5m addition to quarterly top line would flow straight through to profit - that's $14m pa. Adding on the $6.5m devaluation savings, we could see a $20m step change in profitability over the next 12-24 months, assuming a stable pog. With a $10m market cap, risk reward looks good, imv. | wigwammer
23/4/2015 11:23 | Mattjos, we can only assume it was Bashirov selling some more...there was a trade of over 3m shares, just before the last jump... Some body not respecting the disclosure rules... But in the end of the day we know this company is much better than the market cap of £7m | terropol
22/4/2015 20:16 | There was some numerous 250k trades when this dipped below 5p recently. Some more now showing but, I assume it is slippery Cantor again, not declaring them until after the close.I assume some conclude that Gold will remain under pressure for the foreseeable future, with the US$ remaining strong.I grow weary of posting here and trying to get the BOD to consider if they would be better off changing the emphasis of the company to that of a Copper miner with PM by-products. Maybe this will come after the flotation plant is completed and the three metals should them be able to be fully & regularly extracted or, maybe it's simply the allure of Gold that is irresistible in terms of how to describe ones activities. So far, the politicos seem to be creating a huge positive fuss in the media about how well they are all now stepping up their 'level of engagement' re. Greece. So, should all be resolved v quickly then! | mattjos
21/4/2015 10:00 | they could do with some new photos on the website to show progress on the new flotation installation | mattjos
16/4/2015 12:53 | Yeah. It's a fascinating time (not in a good way). I've always been glass half full till now... but I can't see how this is all going to end well | foxx999
15/4/2015 23:16 | It's a nonsense that we seem to be sleep walking into.I suppose they have had time to try and build up the banks balance sheets to try and prevent a systematic collapse - this time. If Greece goes it alone and does recover that will surely strengthen the case for Spain (which judging by my recent business trip, is still a complete mess and not getting any better). Of course, one does have to ask what is USA agenda in downgrading Greece? S&P is merely a mouthpiece for USA foreign policy. Can't help thinking that Putin is strengthening Russia militarily just at the time that our politicians see our military as a target for budget cuts. Not a sensible strategy by our politicians. The Russian people will tolerate far worse economic conditions than our populous will and they retain the view that the West does not treat them as the powerhouse that they believe they are. Dangerous times ahead, me thinks & we seem to be broadly oblivious to what is shaping up | mattjos
15/4/2015 23:02 | No way back for Greece now. Get the popcorn out....What makes me laugh is investment banks saying a default is no big deal due to the "QE firewall"... Can't believe QE can be described as a firewall.... | foxx999
15/4/2015 21:42 | S&P downgrades Greece just now. Pressure is slowly building. Could be a very volatile period in next 3 weeks. What a time for Putin to feel emboldened | mattjos
15/4/2015 21:02 | Looks to be plenty of copper still sat waiting to be sold;"Anglo-Asian Mining has 75 tons of dry copper concentrate and 550 tons of wet copper concentrate stockpiles ready to sell." | mattjos
14/4/2015 12:31 | Added to your comment the whole is pretty accurate. Either on their own is misleading. Whether the overall is positive or negative is in the eye of the investor. | unionhall
14/4/2015 11:53 | union .. that's rather overly negative. they started production circa 6 years ago & have shown steady increase in production & the plant & equipment purchased and put into production at Gedabek. The SART plant was one of the first in the world on the scale they implemented. It has long been the case that its hard to determine if they are predominantly a copper miner with precious metal by-products or a gold miner with Copper by-products. That is all down to the complexities of the ore at Gedabek. They have continued to explore and understand that ore as time has passed and responded to what they learn with new processing methodologies. This new flotation plant (alluded to for a long time, suggesting they have known it was required) will give them three different technologies to process the ore and some of it can be run through 2 or 3 of the processes to maximise the rate of extraction. Unlike virtually all other AIM miners, they have not had to resort to endless equity raisings to finance this .. indeed the CEO has personally bankrolled it at times. | mattjos
14/4/2015 11:39 | Got a few more here today. Last years accounts will not look great a assume... But this year should be brilliant, so do you look back? Or look forward? | terropol
14/4/2015 11:22 | " Previous plant additions at Gedabek have all been bought in ahead of target and below budget " Be objective and add " they then didn't work and new additions were required..." | unionhall
14/4/2015 11:07 | Quite the opposite mattjos. They produced 15,000oz for themselves in the quarter but they sold 17206oz for themselves in the quarter. (All govt stuff removed) They timed everything just right to get these figures. Undoubtedly though, your point about it being an improvement is correct. Hence why I now own many hundreds of thousands of shares. But it is a risky play still. Hence the cheap price. | jbravo2
14/4/2015 11:01 | tempted to buy back in! | doc_oj
14/4/2015 10:58 | for all we know a big sales shipment missed the end of month by one day. The +ves are fairly clear for all to see. Production looks to have bottomed out last year and is now rising, presumably as they get better and better at identifying what ore requires what process method. That will soon be further enhanced by the additional flotation plant (no wonder they decided to upscale its capacity). The additional ore from Gosha must also be having a positive effect. Previous plant additions at Gedabek have all been bought in ahead of target and below budget. Lets see if they repeat that performance with the flotation plant | mattjos |
