13/5/2020 08:58 | I have gone to around 20% cash now. Also short the SP500, short WTI June futures and long the USD for a small hedge. | brasso3
13/5/2020 08:58 | Don't bet against the Fed, that's what they say isn't it. Agree markets look a little flat at this point. My portfolio has stalled over the last week. My punt in ODX looking a little sick this morning. AAZ has usually been bought around this point, if it keeps falling I will be buying a few more. | fozzie
13/5/2020 08:55 | Can't help being sceptical and wonder if they are trying to hide something not only from the PI but possibly more importantly from the Azeri Govt ? It is all just too flat with nothing to even raise any optimism. | s0lis
13/5/2020 08:53 | Better stock up on some Red Bull ahead of the ProactiveInvestors presentation just in case!!"Fingers crossed that the presentation reveals more but agree that the tone was somewhat flat which of course it should not be"... | goodgrief
13/5/2020 08:52 | US markets sold off heavily into the close last night .. could be the start of the next leg down in global markets How the hell can US markets be the same as they was in October 2019 after what has happened and the outlook for the next few years. They simply must take out the lows again over time ... only the FED juicing the markets with money printed from thin air will slow it down to a painful prolonged bear market instead of another instant crash. | onedayrodders
13/5/2020 08:52 | @fozzie Like Matt I suspect large numbers of people are looking to get out. The constant drip drip of stated worries about LOM, govt talks, JORC have created some perceptions in a wide number of readers (only some of which are real) that this share should be a worry. It matters little about the real situation if enough people have a certain view on anything then that can become the reality for a while. I suspect this will get cheaper yet | jbravo2
13/5/2020 08:50 | Also closed my spreadbet.. I will buy back if the share price drops below £1. | ilostthelot
13/5/2020 08:49 | Wow amazing reaction to a company which is debt free, increasing dividends had minimal impact from the COVID pandemic and who reiterated the fact it wants to continue its growth to mid tier status. “...to develop your company into a mid tier gold, copper and silver producer”. LOM was mentioned previously they will do this incrementally as it’s more favourable to the company rather than sticking 10 years on it. | bazboa
13/5/2020 08:49 | I've sold 7000 that's the lot I bought at 80p and £1. At mine life of 4 years we are fair value about 130p. Until we see a mine life over 10 years which isn't coming in a hurry then aaz will be trading side ways for years between £1 and £1.60. | ilostthelot
13/5/2020 08:48 | I think we need to also reflect the current global climate. Yes there’s nothing staggering there today, but doesn’t it also I still confidence about our investment going forward? As in, it wont keep you up at night worrying about the safety of your investment. I think the RNS sets the right, cautious tone and allays any fears about black swans. Why wouldn’t an investor be thrilled with the fundamentals here? | skeptic1
13/5/2020 08:45 | So, PBT of $30.1mAISC of 590Average sale price 1410Profit per ounce 820What's the likely average gold price for FY 2020? At 1620 our profit would be 1030, or a 25% increase on 2019At 1700 profit is 1110, or 33% higherWorth remembering | mad foetus
13/5/2020 08:45 | Yeah and Carnival in a nose dive 24 hours too late for me.....another small d’ohh. | riggerbeautz
13/5/2020 08:43 | SP500 looking a bit weak again. | brasso3
13/5/2020 08:40 | Fingers crossed that the presentation reveals more but agree that the tone was somewhat flat which of course it should not be. I don't think the board have really addressed any of the 'worries' that shareholders have going forward, lom, govt talks, Jorc etc. I am lucky in that I started buying at 37p but if you are a recent buyer of AAZ or thinking about buying you are perhaps a little dissuaded? Add in the wide spread we have had and the strange cancelled sells and it's all a bit meh. | fozzie
13/5/2020 08:40 | Fozzie I’m fairly certain the likes of ii and Hargreaves (as I’ve done so myself in the past), would let you trade Toronto, but I use a broker contact in Canada, I was introduced to several years back. | riggerbeautz
13/5/2020 08:38 | Yeah I’d hope for 2 years on this next jorc | jbravo2
13/5/2020 08:35 | There will be a lot of guess work going on around some of the wording,,, words like 'likely' in terms of LOM increase and considering projects outside of AZER,,, is this a game of cat & mouse with AZERGOV around the PSA,,, bla, bla, bla.... :-) who knows,,, let's see what's said on the 21st,,,, that should set the tone for the rest of this year I feel,,,,, sitting on my hands now :-) Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
13/5/2020 08:32 | RB, are roxg and Ely traded on the tsx and which broker do you hold them through? I was a little meh in regard to results this morning and expect as you say traders to exit. Perhaps I expect too much in the way of capital gain from AAZ having already seen them rise from my first buy at 37p and should settle for them being a steady income stock now? | fozzie
13/5/2020 08:30 | Patience Wan, many don’t have that these days, think I’ll go for a walk lol as I’m sure there will be a fair fe over reactions when the price starts tumbling because there’s nothing sensational in the financial “results” Big clue there, the jorc will come when it comes, as will the divi which is tax free for me and adds to my pot. Glad I held back now on more, wait a few days may get a bargain :) | riggerbeautz
13/5/2020 08:27 | Cash cow. That's never been in doubt but we're going no where price wise until we have a significant increase in life of mine. What would an acceptable jorc Increase look like to others? 2 years mine life? I understand they're will be several Jorcs after this one is delivered so potentially 10 years mine life. Reading between the lines you don't feel like that the Q3 Jorc is going to be much more than a year or 2 increase in life of mine. Maybe they'll hint at more in up and coming presentations. | ilostthelot
13/5/2020 08:26 | Well put qaz "It is the Company's intention to produce new JORC resource and reserves statements for its existing mines during the course of 2020, which is likely [why the "likely"? -TS] to further extend the mine life [beyond the min. declared 2024]." But we were advised updated JORC resource and reserves statements would be forthcoming by end of 2019 last autumn. Those would essentially capture new reserves for main pit since sum,mer 2018 + Gadir since spring 2019. We have seen nowt. The whole tone of the RNS wrt exploration results is very understated. e.g. we know there are a fair number of very promising drill grades - both gold and copper - identifed in Ordubad but if you didn't already know this, the RNS doesn't promote that fact. SW took great care to qualify the very high [over 200g/t] gold samples out of Kaleki-Dirnis after htey came out last autumn and we still await final lab analyses. Even if those were omitted, the drill results were still juicy. Still suggests a 'cards close to chest' situation and Azerzi Gov't 'interest' ongoing to me. | 2sporrans
13/5/2020 08:24 | AAZ - one word comes to mind.......... 'patience' :-) Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
13/5/2020 08:24 | I think apeman has hit nail on the head. Exploration report and Proactive presentation to come. The results are just the plate, let's see what the meal looks like. | mad foetus
13/5/2020 08:20 | AAZ Should clear a few t traders and those with short term horizons, there’s plenty there to reassure me though, including a nice divi on its way in July. | riggerbeautz
13/5/2020 08:17 | Overslept so just read quickly through. Nothing in there to get too excited about, rather steady as she goes which isn't really what anyone wanted to hear so expect there may be a few sellers today bwtfdik. I don't think many bought here for the divi, they did not expect to be buying an income stock but at the moment that seems to be what we have. No mention of govt talks. | fozzie |
