It's impossible to guess a global mkt downturn but more likely in Trumps second term.

My biggest holdings are AAZ and BUR, and both should be robust in any downturn. Of course, there may be margin calls and the market is a voting machine in the short term, but you have to hold your nerve. Could do with Deutsche Bank coming to a head though...

just chill guys .. if this is the start of a big downturn, Gold will react accordingly & then, so too the AAZ share price.

I'm happy to wait until we get a couple of news releases on resources before any updates are forthcoming. On the bashirov selling I was lucky enough to buy around 300k near the bottom and upwards. I sold 100k in the 40's and have recently sold a few more but am left with 150k shares in for free whilst banking a nice profit I wont be selling any more for quite some time. My only dilemma now is what to do with the dividends. Good place to be.

While price action is disappointing we are at least a day closer to getting the first exploration updates. I'm expecting something from Gosha first. Funny how we all thought it was just being run down a few weeks ago: they must have found something very interesting and unexpected to have piqued their interest.

I know...as if the restriction of this was of such importance that they backed down on the supply of REEs into Japan :)

clearly the govt tries to keep it's population happy :) LOL

Re rare earths.....a comment on the Spangle note this morning

• China’s planning experts at The National Development and Reform Commission have moved a step closer to weaponising Rare Earths in the trade war with the US.
• “if anyone wants to use products made from rare earth to curb the development of China, then the people of the revolutionary soviet base and the whole Chinese people will not be happy,” according to the NDRC (FT).

• Last time China threatened to restrict sales of REEs into Japan, the Japanese retaliated with proposed restrictions on the export of Japanese porn into China.

I wonder if Stormy Daniels potential China-sales might take a hit :)

Bumpa, I just have these on watch purely as to how far they will get? They are very small Co,s.RE,s are very important for the modern tech as I am sure you know, from mobile phones to EV,s, wind turbines, weapons, etc, etc. I just have an interest in the subject.

Good morning all.
China to use Rare Earths as a weapon against Trump's tariffs, on China !!

Wan, the seller at ORM is consistent. I wonder if we have another Bsshirov there? LOL.
Will Chines ban the export of Tungsten as well?? They produce 80% of the world supply.
I have two Co,s on my watch list that are involved in Rare Earths, RBW and MKA.The share price of both have shot up !!The largest producer of RE,s out side China is Lyncas Corp. They are in trouble in Malaysian Gov. they have to move 450K Tons of low radio active earth before September, before their license is renewed !!
The rest of my watch list is all Red !!
Will the FED reduce the interest rates??
With all this going on AAZ seems a very safe bet but we have a seller !!
All very interesting stuff.
Have a good day all.

Gold does look nicely setup for an imminent move north, recent triple bottom on the chart around the 1265/70 level.

IF we see 2600 again i´d say you’re more likely to see 2400 rather than 2800. Been fairly constant recent warnings that US weakness in Q1 is spilling over into Q2...

Yeah you have to look back to Oct 2013 to find his declaration showing he'd reduced his holding from 18m to 12m.
Limelight have had theirs since IPO.

Seems as if PIs have had them all.
Of course, as previously mentioned, there is little to stop people abusing the declaration rules re holdings, so it's impossible to say with any certainty.

#JB2, thanks for that, I only looked at the last TR1 @ 3.96% to zero, so where did his shares go to..? that's a big chunk of shares 18M...

It was before my time here but were Limelight on the scene then, and did Reza/Sununu have the same then as now..? if so can we assume they were all hoovered up by PI's..?
