29/5/2019 04:54 | So, the global slowdown continues to grind slower. Weird world of Gov't bonds where now there's a record amount issued with -ve yields. So, one pays the German treasury around 2.5% for lending them over 5 years; ~5% over 10 years for holding a Swiss Gov't bond. A US 10 year Treasury pays out 2.2% yield which reflects the US inflation prospects over moribund Eurozone/Japan. The 2.6% yield on Italian G bonds - 10 yr - is much more to compensate for the risk of default i guess. Go gamble on cryptos, prices heading back up fast, notwithstanding the exchanges are being regularly depleted by hacker robbery; even their crook-custodians are running off having laundered off the tokens into fiat as they go.? None of the above for me thanks. Alternatively, i can invest in shares of AAZ backed by a steady, growing issuance of Gold, copper and silver courtesy of trusty management owning stashes of the same shares. + debts virtually all paid down. Not virtual or debased assets but unadulterated metals, for which current levels of demand won't disintegrate next several years, be there recession or nay; plus there's a 6%+ dividend at today's price well covered by sustainable FCF. Now that does hold appeal!! | 2sporrans
29/5/2019 03:23 | Wow, I'm out looking for Leyla first thing tomorrow morning before her mum spends it all, lol. | doc_oj
29/5/2019 00:46 | Took two months but ROXG finally moved from the mid 70’s(lows) to a dollar, shame it only ever amounted to beer money. Not tempted to add or cash in but nice move last week and held last session. | riggerbeautz
28/5/2019 23:47 | If you read this article, you can see what companies Hajiyev was involved in.Who was also Director of Berkeley Business LTD? Khagani Bashirov.Jan 2011 it had shareholder funds of £1. By Jan 2012 it was worth over £4m, with loans from Barclays propped up by some other assets. Zamira Hajiyeva: How the wife of a jailed banker spent £16m in Harrods https://www.bbc.co.u | mattjos
28/5/2019 22:42 | One thing I believe we should all be thankful for is not to have Khagani Bashirov on the register here any longer. Yes, he did force the price down to a silly level and gave many here an opportunity to buy up his stock when he was a forced seller. He knew the opportunity here when he bought so much of the stock but, he was all tangled up with Hajiyeva (the wife of whom is again the news today for her crazy spending at Harrods) & several different scams. If he was still a shareholder here i think that would be a red-flag so, am very, very glad he has exited. | mattjos
28/5/2019 21:41 | something is surely going to snap before the end of this year. So many indicators flashing bright red - Probability of USA rate by the year end if 82% & market expecting 2 rate cuts in that timeframe. - Gold : Silver is at 25 year high - Yield curve inverted out to 15 years - EU figures are dire and sill softening - Sales : inventory ratios are looking like they did in 2006/7 - Dow looks like a huge treble top on the charts .. just like it did from Jul'07-Dec'07 Gold has already gone from £700/oz at start 2016 to now over £1,000/oz &, if this is the start of a global recession, could go far, far higher in response to central bank intervention. All the time we are locked into Europe but, dallying around with BREXIT, I cant see the £ gaining any strength. Whichever way, & however hard, i look at things, I conclude we are better off parked in AAZ than just about anywhere else right now. That realisation amongst current holders and potential new investors will likely grow and grow as we progress through rest of this year, imo. | mattjos
28/5/2019 21:27 | $1258 the bottom for gold? | brasso3
28/5/2019 16:39 | No probs, Wan. RBD are really an investment company (not operators) that buy into mostly already discovered, but not yet appraised, oil & gas targets when they feel they are particularly undervalued and fund a share of the operators appraisal costs - so a little different to other 'producers'. hxxps://reabold.com/ I like the model, as it is relatively low cost/lower risk. There isn't large debt to service, no large administrative overheads/fixed costs to cover and they appear to have plenty of projects on the go, which are look v successful to date. | king suarez
28/5/2019 16:34 | Picked up some jse today. Looks like a cash register in the making. | mr roper
28/5/2019 16:23 | many thanx KS I will research this evening for sure, cheers Wan TSG also looking good :-) Cheers Wan | wanobi
28/5/2019 16:11 | Wan - another oil co you may be interested in RBD (Reabold Resources) - looks to be in a strong uptrend at the moment. They are debt free (with cash and cash flow) and growing production with low cost drilling in California - a bit like the TXP model, but without the huge exploration upside - a more measured approach - they buy into near term appraisal drills and take a stake for a share of the costs and then when into production reinvest the cash flows in further opportunities. | king suarez
28/5/2019 16:08 | Stcm...long and strong! | mr roper
28/5/2019 16:07 | Yep, STCM been a great buy from around 24-25p :) | king suarez

28/5/2019 14:04 | AAZ AGM, anyone going? The Company's AGM will be held at 10:30am on 20 June 2019 at The Washington Mayfair Hotel, 5 Curzon Street, Mayfair, London W1J 5HE. unfortunately it's in work time for me so I won't be there,,,, grrr Cheers Wan | wanobi
28/5/2019 13:13 | Hi Sportbilly.I agree that BiDS looks exciting. There is just so much hype over it now that I'm not sure I want to jump in yet | cflather2000
28/5/2019 10:59 | BIDS - that is some performance YTD! Just 27% held by funds/directors - leaves a lot in pi hands. rose to 25/26 this am on just around 250k volume but has stuck there since on around 5 million - suggest either buy being filled or seller clearing? An interesting one to value given the growth potential | sportbilly1976
28/5/2019 09:19 | sportbilly1976 yes nice new trend surprised it dropped so much but the saw teeth are getting more extreme. May be 100p will hold when gold and metals make their comeback. jaspoland CEY looks cheap IMO might double money given time. | edjge2 |
