Near Timaru (20kms) Cinoib. Red tape as bad as Europe, petrol NZ$ 2.05 ltr about £1.10p, diesel 25% cheaper but diesels pay more road tax. It is however on the South Island still a place more like 1950's England, as regards not having to lock everything or worrying about casual crime.

bozzy yes and we as usual are down, would have thought 1000 wold have given us a little push up like 250 at least. gold touched $1279 n N.Y. yesterday before falling back and on the rise here this a.m., nice now let's see AAZ follow suit.
Lefrene, where in N.Z. as I use to live there very beautifull country but to much red tape then. petrol at 23p a ltr equivalent. Yes is correct not £1.23 but 23p

Good morning guys.
Just getting over the Xmas hangover.
Just bought into GMS for a recovery in its share price, see how it goes for 4 weeks. Just trying to make few bob or say having a bit of fun.
AAZ should keep moving toward the £1 mark,steady as she goes.

Dow up over 1000 points, can't remember that ever happening before! Naturally I assumed gold was knocked lower as a result, but I was wrong. $1273 and climbing higher.

AAZ was guaranteed a blue day when those interim results / maiden divided were released. Today looks a likely blue day - it'd be a great day to announce the Gadir JORC. With many companies not making announcements in the holiday season, anything positive from AAZ might be more widely read.

Maybe we'll yet push £1 by year end.

The Chrimbo Rally has arrived!

What a bizarre month.

5% up on the S&P500 is noteworthy enough; 10% up on WTI crude [+9% Brent]is quite something.
I'm persuaded that $42/b WTI is close to the lower limit, that marginal [US shale] crude can't be sustainably produced for much less by the current set of producers. [looking at the licence rental set up, resultant over-drilling, high borrowing levels of the marginal producers - not the big boys] ..... so a sharp rally, common in bear markets, was on the cards.
But 10% up in 1 day for crude; that's pretty much unheard of.

Wonder what multiple of 10% AAZ may surge up on news that substantially exceeds expectations, be that resource, production or net cashflow focused.
Ditto come fresh flows of institutional investor $£$, given the recently attained $100m+ capital value.
